The fact I have to provide my flight information is challenging. We fly on Southwest and I don't have an itinerary from them.
We thank you for taking the time to put your concerns in writing and are sorry to hear of your frustration.
Insurance is highly regulated and in order to confirm coverage, completed claim forms and documentation are an important part of the claim process in order to validate coverage as it relates to the specific conditions as listed in the plan purchased.
I have contacted the Claims Administrator on your behalf and have been advised that to date the completed claim forms have not been received by our claims department.
Please submit the completed claim forms, along with the original receipts, copy of e-ticket and/or email confirmation from the airline and we will be happy to review your claim.
Travelex makes every effort to review all concerns from our clients and we hope this provides clarification.
Thank you for posting a review.

I was on vacation 18 days and never received my checked luggage. I have now been home a week and still do not have it. I filed the claim and have not heard anything.
I continually had to email for updates instead of being updated.
Again, the last time my checked bag was seen is whenbi checked it at the airport on June 16.
Thank you for taking the time to post!
Insurance is highly regulated and in order to confirm coverage, completed claim forms and documentation are an important part of the claim process. Occasionally, additional documentation is required by our claims administrator in order to validate coverage as it relates to the specific conditions as listed in the plan purchased.
I have contacted the Claims Administrator on your behalf and have been advised that the additional email correspondence was submitted on July 11th and July 12, 2016.
The claim was assessed and paid on July 13, 2016. You should receive your reimbursement within 7-10 days, via the United States Postal Service.
I trust this resolution is satisfactory and we hope you will think of Travelex the next time you are looking to insure your travel. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
Easy and straight-forward.
Policy was easy to understand and provided what I needed.
Was reasonable in price for two seniors.
Insurance provided peace of mind to my wife in case something happened like a fatal plane crash. We normally only carry a lesser amount of life insurance due to affordability, so this helped having more insurance on my trip
all good.
The print was difficult to read the policy number - and it wasn't exactly clear which of the 4 numbers you call when you need assistance. Basically, you fend for yourself, and then go back to airlines and get "incident report", which I still have to get, and then they have you file a claim, which we will see how that works. Very glad to have a policy though - and didn't realize that it covered trip interruption, so paying for a hotel when stranded was a bit less concerning.
I bought a policy before my trip to Canada, but when my trip was unexpectedly extended, I called to extend the insurance. Unfortunately, the coverage was substantially less. I used no choice but to take it. Then, I wound up in the hospital. The company covered my claim up to the limits of the policy, $2500. I am satisfied, because they gave me what they promised. Read all the fine print. Buy your policy before you leave the US. Save all receipts and provide documentation. This is an honest company that does what it says. Just make sure you buy what you need.
The customer service representative was very informative and we were impressed that she followed up on my husband's condition more than once.
My husband and I had to cancel this trip prior to departure ( approximately 1 and 1/2 months before) due to medical necessity. The completed claim forms were sent to the company on 2/2/16 which included the necessary doctors forms. As of yet I have not received any reimbursement from them which was for 1/2 of the purchase price as the tour company has reimbursed us the other half.

The company needed additional information from the doctor who they contacted independently. The issue was resolved and a check was cut. It was relatively painless except for me filing out some forms to start the claim procedure.

In order to complete the assessment of your claim, the examiner requested additional medical information from the attending physician and mailed an indulgence letter to you on February 17, 2016 .
On February 25, 2016, we received the completed medical questionnaire from the attending physician. Your claim has been reviewed and payment has been processed as claimed, on March 1, 2016. You should receive your reimbursement within 7-10 days, via the United States Postal Service.

My only issue with this process is that there is no response when you submit a claim - no confirmation that it was received and no feedback as to what you might expect in terms of a response time. Given the time that the paperwork requires I'd think a simple email confirming that the claim had been received would be an easy and reassuring thing for Travelex to add to the process.
