The lady I chatted with on-line was super helpful. She got me the plan that was perfect for our situation. The policy covered non-professional sports. From now on, I will purchase travel insurance. It's a high advantage to have no deductible abroad!

While in Spain, I developed an infection and needed antibiotics. I called the Travelex Insurance Services number and spoke with a very helpful woman who said they would contact their local contact and get back to me. Three hours later she called to say that since it was Sunday, the only option was to go to the hospital emergency room and that they wouldn't give my a prescription until I returned a second time the following day. We were leaving early the next day, so that wasn't going to work. I asked that they check on the next town we were going to be in the next afternoon to see what we could get there. Meanwhile, I went to the front desk of our hotel. They found a 24 hour pharmacy and clinic in town and called a cab to take me to the clinic. I was able to get in to see a medical professional very quickly and get a prescription that the pharmacy filled. Later that night, Travelex called back to say there was nothing in the town we were traveling to the next day.
The Travelex people I spoke to were fine and I appreciate the fact that they called back, but I don't think much of their local contact and the bottom line was they didn't help. Since there was no charge at the clinic and the prescription was only about $7, it's certainly not worth filling out the forms to be reimbursed.

All communication was professional and cordial.
We would recommend this source of insurance to other international travelers; however we were fortunate not to have to file any claims.

My claim was accepted, but I still haven't recieved my reimbursement.

We had to cancel our trip at the last minute due to emergency medical condition. We were reimbursed for all non refundable expenses once we submitted the required document. No haggling, check was in our hand little over a week after we mailed paperwork. A+ service- will definitely use again for future travels.

I've never had to cancel a trip or use travel insurance (although I've always bought it for every trip over the years).
Everyone was very supportive and helpful with the process...they made it easy so I didn't have to worry further.
