Travelex customers often praise the helpful and easily accessible customer service. However, some travelers feel the provider could offer more updates during the claims process, and that reimbursements can take longer than expected.
I followed the advice of bloggers who filed claims and strongly recommended that the entire policy be read to avoid misunderstanding and non-payment of claims. I called Travelex to clarify some of the wording in the rental car coverage. Travelex personnel were polite and explained the terms of coverage. After some consideration I chose to go with a different insurance company as the coverage was similar and less expensive. I always use Squaremouth when I travel out of the USA. Be sure to read the policy carefully so you understand what coverage you have purchased, how and when to contact the company and how to file a claim.
Took some effort to figure out with whom I should be dealing (however I was in a hospital almost 10,000 miles from home and well drugged) but once the ball was started they made it happen

My experience with Travelex I would rate as poor. However, dealing with Squaremouth Zero Complaint Dept was excellent.
They were able to get the claim processed with Travelex without their help who knows.
ON CALL INTERNATIONAL fir /Trup interruption assistance was perhaps the most frustrating and with the most incompetent and unreliable misinformation every experienced on a trip.
I had bought a cancel for any reason policy for a trip to Europe. Unfortunately, I did need to cancel before I departed on my trip. I notified Travelex of my cancellation and submitted the documentation and received my check for 75% of submitted claim amount (as per cancel for any reason reimbursement guidelines). The system worked in a timely manner. I was pleased by the process. I will use Squaremouth again next time I need to choose a trip policy and would choose Travelex again if it met my trip needs at that time.
I provided Travelex with complete information regarding my accident, receipt for one hotel that didn't allow cancellation and a receipt for the cost of my trip leader. Travelex sent me all the money I'd itemized except for $30.
I had no communication with anyone at the insurance company after I called to notify them of my need to cancel. I sent them the receipts, filled out their form and they sent me a check.
I would recommend them to others.
All in all, Travelex provided a good experience and policy. They paid a claim for interrupted travel, for which I am grateful.

When Travelex sent me the claims forms, they neglected to send the form that dealt with reimbursement for my nonrefundable airline ticket.
I am glad that I was smart enough to realize this form was missing. Otherwise, I would have submitted the claim forms and not gotten reimbursed for the airline ticket. The omission of the airline reimbursement form should have never happened.
