I didn't have to contact customer service before my trip so I just reated them average. The Travel documents came by email whithin a day or two, Squaremouth documents came before. I download the documents to a computer/zip drive for travel. It's a pain printing the full policy, thankfully I can skip the state by state stuff except for my own. Be careful to save both the the one page travel document and the actual policy which can be overlooked in the email.

Didn't have any reason to use customer sevice so rated them average. Note: the policy provided CDW (colision)auto rental insurance however in Costa Rica you are also required to have local supplemental auto/personal liability insurance. It is cheaper and easier to by a combined CDW/SLW than just the SLW.

We had no reason to contact or interact with the insurance company. The delays we experienced on our trip were "compensated" by Air New Zealand. Due to time delays we missed our 12 hours to enjoy Auckland, but our basic needs were covered by the Airline.

I seem to have had an easier time working from Squaremouth's website than one of my traveling companions did from the carrier's own website.
