It was great to see so many plans detailed in a convenient comparison chart--especially which were primary medical coverage and which were secondary. This is important because many primary plans in the U.S. will not extend outside of our borders.

I did not have to use the policy to make a claim, but it was wonderful peace of mind--both for the trip cancellation feature to refund if there were an emergency stopping the trip and for the medical and evacuation coverages available if needed in a country that has poor sanitatation and health care.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased travel insurance for overseas trips. Since I don't need trip cancellation insurance at my age and take some last minute trips; having emergency medical and expatriation insurance gives me huge peace of mind should anything ever occur (e.g. broken ankle).
