Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
Similarly one of the worst experiences of my life.
Their phone/ information lines are staffed with people who don’t have answers and can’t give useful information. When asked to be transferred to a supervisor for the requested help, was told they can’t transfer, but instead supervisor would call back within “48 hours”. The majority of the time no “ supervisor “ called back.
When I finally got a call from a claim rep, they refused to give me even a first name or an employee number, claiming they needed to stay anonymous. Also would give me no direct dial phone number; instead I had to navigate the telephone maze set up to discourage calls
And there’s more- but expect nothing’s by will happen with my complaints so not detailing here.
This is was truly not the “ No Complaints “ experience I was expecting from Squaremouth vendor.

This was the first time I have had to use travel insurance, and the turnaround time was fantastic! My claim was processed quickly and I received the money within a few days of being notified of the outcome. The customer service rep I spoke with was also very helpful.
While we appreciate the various options for coverage on the travel insurance, we are disappointed that we have to jump through hoops to get a medical claim filed. Hopefully this matter will be resolved.
Trawick policy had god pricing for coverage we needed. Before leaving on trip it was easy to contact them to adjust departure date and increase dollar amount of trip coverage.
Getting the policy was very easy. The following paperwork was a little cont. I was thinking we would get our contract from square mouth but it came from Tarwick? Didn’t have a claim so can’t comment on that part of customer service.

We had to cancel our trip before departing on the trip. Trawick only refunded the part of our claim that was for prepaid expenses. They claim that the unrefunded part (the remaining non-refundable balance due for our safari) isn't eligible and yet I submitted copies of our policy that show it should have been eligible. I got tired of requesting reconsideration, and only getting denial emails, never a phone call with anyone. This was at a time when we had many things to worry about (the reasons for cancelling the trip) and did not have the bandwidth to contact an attorney for assistance with the remainder of the claim. We don't intend to ever use Trawick again.
After reviewing several travel insurance companies through SquareMouth, I selected Trawick International for my policy. The information presented was clear and succinct, the customer service department was very helpful in answering my questions. I felt reassured and confident that Trawick International would meet my needs.
I have been waiting well over 30 days for completion of my claim. I purchased the insurance to cover the cost of airfare for my husband and myself. My husband died on February 10. I cancelled my husband’s plane reservation. I then contacted Trawick and explained the situation. I sent a copy of the death certificate, proof of purchase and payment for the flight tickets, and filled out the necessary paperwork. What is the holdup? I contacted Squaremouth to complain. The representative told me it takes 60 days. That is bull. I have purchased insurance from other companies and never waited 60 days. I have purchased numerous insurance policies from Squaremouth and this is the first claim I have made. It has not been a good experience. Where is my money?
