Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.

We had to cancel our trip before departing on the trip. Trawick only refunded the part of our claim that was for prepaid expenses. They claim that the unrefunded part (the remaining non-refundable balance due for our safari) isn't eligible and yet I submitted copies of our policy that show it should have been eligible. I got tired of requesting reconsideration, and only getting denial emails, never a phone call with anyone. This was at a time when we had many things to worry about (the reasons for cancelling the trip) and did not have the bandwidth to contact an attorney for assistance with the remainder of the claim. We don't intend to ever use Trawick again.
After reviewing several travel insurance companies through SquareMouth, I selected Trawick International for my policy. The information presented was clear and succinct, the customer service department was very helpful in answering my questions. I felt reassured and confident that Trawick International would meet my needs.
I have been waiting well over 30 days for completion of my claim. I purchased the insurance to cover the cost of airfare for my husband and myself. My husband died on February 10. I cancelled my husband’s plane reservation. I then contacted Trawick and explained the situation. I sent a copy of the death certificate, proof of purchase and payment for the flight tickets, and filled out the necessary paperwork. What is the holdup? I contacted Squaremouth to complain. The representative told me it takes 60 days. That is bull. I have purchased insurance from other companies and never waited 60 days. I have purchased numerous insurance policies from Squaremouth and this is the first claim I have made. It has not been a good experience. Where is my money?
My experience with SureGo and Trawick International/SquareMouth has been incredibly frustrating. After being diagnosed with bronchitis and an ear infection, my doctor recommended canceling my Singapore-Tokyo trip. Despite having perfect documentation (medical notes, paid invoices, everything), the claims process has been a nightmare.
I filed my claim promptly, and when they requested info about refunds and cancellation fees, I immediately confirmed there were none. That was a month ago. My claim still shows as "Submitted" with no updates.
I've sent multiple follow-ups with zero response. I'm out over $5,400 with nothing but silence from their end. I've been forced to send increasingly urgent emails just trying to get someone to acknowledge my claim exists.
If anybody is considering travel insurance, they should think twice about these companies. Their coverage might look good on paper, but when it comes to actually honoring claims, their customer service and communication are nonexistent.
I've purchased travel insurance from via Squaremouth before. The process is always smooth and the customer service is also very good. I have not filed a claim in the past.
Unfortunately, I had an emergency on the way back from the trip this time. I intend to file a claim when I have more invoices from the hospitals where I was admitted.
Filing a claim was electronic but the available dropdown options did not really cover my issue. We will see how the process goes.
My experience has been frustrating. Difficult to access any customer service and when i do it is not helpful.
The original air ambulance flight that was approved was at a cost of $68,900, however that plane could not make the flight due to mechanical issues and was replaced by another vendor who charged $71,000. The first flight cost was approved by you but the second was not due to your requirement for OnCall to request approval for the flight. It seems that if the first flight had mechanical issues and couldn't make it, that in the emergency situation we were in the next vendor in line should automatically be approved.
We had to cancel our trip due to illness. I'm 6 weeks out after filing & am being told it can take 60 days for review! That's not what I signed up for. This is ridiculous!
We got Southwest to give us a refund for our flights, so we just need the hotel & one event ticket refunded.
Terrible, Terrible service....
