Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
All go.
If you're looking for a travel insurance agency and time is of the essence for the settlement of your claim, I would look elsewhere.
My mother-in-law suddenly fell ill 4 days before our late November 2024 cruise and her doctor said that she was she was likely dying. We cancelled our cruise and my husband flew out immediately to be with her. She passed away the next morning. I filed my claim with Trawick via their claims administrator SureGo on December 12, 2024 after we received the death certificate. It was a pretty cut and dried claim and I included all of the required documentation. The electronic claims process itself was straightforward.
I called after 30 days and I was told that the claims team was "busy" with other natural disaster claims. My state requires that travel insurance companies complete claims within 30 days, but I was originally patient. I called again at 60 days and I was supposedly "escalated" but nothing happened. I called third time at 90+ days and my claim was then escalated to a supervisor. My claim was FINALLY approved on March 19, 2025 ... 14 weeks after it was filed.
On the positive side, Trawick did eventually pay my claim 100%. In addition, all the staff I spoke to at both Trawick and SureGo were very friendly and polite. However, the overwhelming negative is that SureGo took 3 1/2 months to process a routine claim with all the documentation.
I d. Use you for yrs and didn't need you. Know my husband had a acute flu and couldn't cruise 🛳 so disappointed waiting almost a yr and this happened.
If we did go he would of infected half the ship and that would be so wrong so morally I had to stay home
They are so bad. They are giving me a hard time over a claim less than $200.
Never again!

Thanks Square Mouth for your help.
Trawick was very difficult to deal with.
I filed a claim in February 2025. Claim has been assigned to adjuster, but no action has been taken thus far. Estimated 6 to 8 weeks per Surego, the processor for Trawick claims. Please do check back in 4 weeks. Thank you!
I cannot rate you as yet. I had to cancel my trip for medical reasons. My claim was submitted a month ago and still no results.

Had to cancel 2 days prior to departure due to illness. The claim was easy to file and had speedy responses to both email and voicemail sent. Questions were answered quickly and easy to understand what was required to start a claim. Payments were also received in a timely very timely manner. Would absolutely use Trawick again.
Filed claim on Feb. 3rd. I then received emails requesting non-specified information and stating "15 business days to review". Called. Told this was autogenerated and nothing was needed. Called for status updates on 2/13, and 2/24 and told it was 30-60 days to review. Called on 3/3 and case "escalated" by customer service. Received an email on 3/4 requesting copy of credit card receipt (vs. airline receipt), which I sent. Received email on 3/7 stating there was an "update" to the claim, but to see it required creating an account! Called and told it was "finalized" and funds would be deposited in 24-48 hrs. of approval. Received email on 3/11 with approval. no deposit by 3/14 so I called again. Told they only process deposits on Tue. and Thur and to allow 10 days. Finally received the deposit on 3/18.
In short, they sent numerous erroneous emails, dragged their feet, and wasted my time. Not worth the money I got back. I will never purchase trip insurance again except for Medical Evacuation - I will self-insure for interruption.
Would consider using them again
Trawick has been very difficult to deal with. It seems as if no one knows the process. I’ve been told different things by different employees. I’m still waiting for a response to an email from a claims person asking if the received my claim. So far, I’m still waiting. This is a very small claim I can’t imagine the delays they would put in place for a large claim. I’m very sorry I paid them to handle my cruise insurance.
