During our trip to Mexico, on March 12, 2022, I fell and fractured my left ankle and separated the tendon in my left foot. I was admitted to the hospital in Puerto Vallarta and had surgery the next day. Before I was admiitted I called the 24/7 emergency number and reached On Call International. They provided a case number and sent some forms. In hind sight I should have called the Trawick International number on my policy because the On Call International information was useless. When I did call Trawick after my release from the hospital, they didn't even know what On Call International was. The agent gave me a claim number but when I logged on to the website the claim wasn't there. I called Trawick and the claim had been entered under a previous years policy so a new claim had to be created. I just logged onto cbpconnect.com to check the new claim number and there are no claims listed so I guess I will be calling Trawick AGAIN when I am ready to pursue the claim. I haven't pursued the claim because I am waiting to see what my medical insurance pays towards the doctor and hospital bills. I filed a claim with my medical insurance after we returned home on April 1, 2022. Once my medical insurance responds to the claim I will start processing the claim with Trawick. Hopefully this will be resolved without any more frustration.

I need to file a claim but you do not accept receipt from air line only my credit card bill. This is additional trouble when I specifically kept all of my receipts. They are proof of purchase and should be acceptable. It seems that you require the extra paperwork so to make it harder to file claim. Is this so you can easier deny a claim??
I waited on the phone for a long time, on hold, then got transferred a couple times and spoke with someone who didn’t seem to know anything, and who told me that he thought the company only covered us if WE cancelled our trip, but since the Cruise line cancelled the voyage, he didn’t think it qualified to be covered. I tried to fill in the online claim forms, but had questions I needed answered, so tried again to get through on the phone. I finally reached a woman who was somewhat more helpful, and sent me the forms I needed, answered one question, but seemed in a hurry to get off the phone and was dismissive of me. I doubt I will use this travel insurance provider again. I still don’t know if they will cover everything the cruise line didn’t cover.

We purchased travel insurance to cover the costs accrued in the event of something unseen which might prevent or interrupt our trip. However, due to loopholes which the travel insurance company provides for itself, they were entirely able to completely disregard our claim and refuse to pay us a single cent when our cruise line cancelled our trip the day before we were to board and only reimbursed us the cost of the cruise. We were left with no way to get reimbursed for the airfare, baggage charge, hotel, and return Amtrak fare charges. It was for just such an unexpected occurrence that the trip insurance was purchased, and on the form detailing the coverage, it said 100% trip cancellation coverage, but this scam company came up with an excuse and a loophole by which they could refuse to pay! I will absolutely NEVER purchase this scam ‘insurance’ from this scam ‘insurance provider’ ever again and plan to spread the word however and whenever I can, that this company is a farce.
Luckily I did not have to use my coverage. I did have a great piece of mind knowing that I had coverage in case I contracted COVID.
The policy was inexpensive, but still covered what I needed. I’ll definitely be using them again.
I contacted Trawick as soon as I found out that I had tested positive for COVID-19 and couldn't fly home. Kathleen Wilson replied promptly and told me what was my coverage and how to submit a claim.
Trawick has outsourced their claims processing to CBP. CBP doesn't allow me to "register" on their website most likely because of a data transmission problem between Trawick and CBP. CBP doesn't respond to emails nor answer the phone. Trawick customer service says they have "no access to the claims department" and therefore cannot help.
Squaremouth presents Trawick as a supplier of travel insurance. Trawick doesn't process claims nor assist in resolving problems with who they have outsourced claims processing to. So essentially Trawick only provides the function of collecting money. I don't consider that providing travel insurance.

Squaremouth is a great service.. This is the first time I have had to file a claim. We are waiting to see how much our health insurance will cover before submitting a claim.

We never ended up having to collect through the policy as out health insurance reimbursed us the out of pocket expenses.
