Trawick did settle my claim in less than 3 weeks. I was given the entire amount I requested, with no issues. My only complaint was the online, 3rd party portal that was provided for submitting the claim online, simply didn't work (It didn't recognize my policy number). Thus I had to send an email with my documentation attached to the email address that was provided. I have used an online portal for claims with other travel insurers. I feel the whole flow of the claim submission process works better if you are being asked to upload the requisite documentation as you input the requested data. Otherwise, I am happy with the outcome of the claim process and the policy was a good value overall compared to other travel insurers I have used.
We always buy travel insurance for our trips outside the US and use Squaremouth to make the purchase. On our most recent trip, our return flight was diverted to another airport causing us to miss a connecting flight. The next available flight was the next day, so we had to book a hotel room for the night. Since the missed connection was covered by our Trawick International policy, I contacted their Customer Service department. The representative was very friendly and professional. She provided the link needed to submit my claim online. The process was relatively easy. I received a followup email requesting various documents, which I provided. It has only been one day since I emailed the documents to them so it is too early to evaluate. I believe I would use Trawick International again for my travel insurance needs.
Scam of a service. The airline canceled my flight because their crew didn't get to the airport in time, but apparently the reason for the cancellation didn't fall under the 'unforseen events' in the policy so they denied my claim...the only way they would've covered it is if the cancellation was due to a mechanical failure. Pretty ridiculous - a cancellation by an airline is a cancellation...classic case of an insurance company doing everything they can to scam you out of money. It also took 3 months for them to finally process and deny my claim. DON'T USE THIS SERVICE.

The claim process went smoothly. Unfortunately since I didn't purchase trip cancellation, I was denied trip interruption which is what I was submitting the claim for. I didn't realize these two parts of the insurance were dependent on each other when I purchased the policy.

Their site sucks. It’s impossible to find how to file a claim. I had to write email to them so they can file a claim in my behalf or provide me with steps in how to file one. It’s almost done on purpose so people don’t file claims with them.
I have gotten no status updates. Your website to see status shows no claim at all. When I called, your agent did find my claim. It's been a month, yet he said wait another 2-3 weeks. I asked if they need more from me. Seemed he didn't access my claim or really look, just said they'd let me know. Very boilerplate, not about my actual claim at all. All very frustrating!!!!
