Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I’m intending to file a claim for a very small amount
As hotels, flights and Airbandb were understanding and refunded me the trip. I intend to submit a claim for lost non refundable train tickets in Europe.
During my trip, I needed to contact Trawick. I did not know what number to call nor whom to contact since the policy was through Trawick but handled by CBP. I have no idea how SquareMouth interacts with Trawick and CBP. The travel insurance has too many companies involved thus making claims difficult.
It is not closed --- but the time it is taking to close the claim is ridiculous ---hire more claim adjusters??? I submitted a claim on Aug 20 2021 while in the hospital with flesh eating bacteria based on documents I could find on-line ...I was in the Hospital for 2 months...... .around NOVEMBER 20 I received a request for more documentation almost three months after the original submission ....I sent in that information and then called yesterday January 4 2022 to ask if the November 2021 additional documents meant I was put at the end of the line again or if there was a line for those already being processed??..... and of course was told I go to the end of the line again (another 3 months wait ??? SURPRISE today I had a request for MORE documents ONE DAY after my call ......requesting MORE information that I had already provided in the two submissions I had already submitted..... WILL NOT use TRAWICK again ....until you contract with a new claims adjusting corporation ---- Covid ??? More submissions that usual ??? sick adjustors??? ....every AUTOMATIC email continues to say it will take 2 weeks to process NO NOTICE of ANY BACKLOG !!!! truth in advertising ??? ....I have been waiting 5 months now for the claim to close !!!
The transaction was seemless. I purchased the policy online without any complications. Also, having rental car insurance included as part of the policy was a bonus.
The process took too long to rectify.
Still waiting to hear back from them. I had to cancel my trip. I sent and email 2 weeks prior to the date I was supposed to leave. Called and sent another email again a few days prior to the date I was supposed to leave. I have not received a reply/response.
I had booked a Royal Caribbean cruise and insured it with Trawick through Squaremouth. Because of Covid concerns and the fact that RCCL switched ships and itinerary on us we took advantage of RCCL's Cancel With Confidence policy and cancelled that cruise for a cruise credit to be used in the future. I notified Trawick well before the sail date that we had cancelled the cruise and that we would like to cancel our trip insurance for a credit to be used later. To this date I have not received any type of satisfactory response from Trawick.

My husband needed some minor medical attention and x-rays while on our cruise. It took patience to compile all the necessary paperwork, but our claim was accepted without delays. The check covering our expenses arrived within 2 weeks!
We were unable to travel as planned due to the pandemic. We certainly do appreciate the opportunity to place our policy on hold, planning to travel in the future.
We had questions regarding insurance coverage for our rented vehicle. Our questions were answered well! Thank you!
