I could not connect with a human to assist with filing our claim for trip cancellation. We cancelled because my mother was hospitalized and was in serious condition (not COVID related). I submitted the claim online 10 days ago and so far have heard nothing from Traywick.

I filed the claim on July 23rd by email because it was the only method Trawick International would accept. After numerous attempts to connect to a human, and getting only recorded messages, I had to download a claim form and upload numerous documents. I received a generic confirmation email that said it would take at least 15 days to review the claim. There was no correspondence from Trawick International after that, but six weeks later I received a check for the full amount of the claim. There was no letter with the check, and no email correspondence to let me know the claim was complete. I'm satisfied that the insurance paid the claim, but very dissatisfied with the process. Trawick International has no customer support system to answer questions. I'm computer-literate enough to have been able to navigate their process, but for older people who may not have the skills or access to do everything by computer, there is no way for them to file a claim or talk to someone.

My luggage was lost on it's way to my final destination. When I returned, I filled out the claim form, submitted all of the documents requested, and in about one month my claim was processed and I was issued a check. I had no issues with the insurance.
We had one flight cancelled and changed by the airline prior to our departure so we had to incur an unexpected overnight stay in Mexico City. I emailed your customer service and they said because the trip hadn't started yet it wasn't covered. That's my only interaction. I rated you 3 stars because I have virtually nothing to go on.
I got different answers every time I talked with somebody, and mostly no replies at all to the emails that I sent. After sending in a ton of info, I was told much later that it was up to me to contact my primary health insurance carrier, which cost us a week's worth of time.

I worked with a representative over the phone to decide which company/policy would work best for us. After explaining what our biggest concern was - testing positive for covid and being stranded - she helped us pick a policy that covers covid illness and hospitalization and would also allow us to add more coverage for a trip disruption. The price was more than reasonable for our peace of mind. We will definitely use SquareMouth again when we need travel insurance.
Initial responding customer service representative was not as helpful as I would have hoped for, but on a follow up call I was assisted by another representative who took care of my needs quite well.
My trip this year was canceled due to covid. In talking with our insurance carrier they were able to just adjust the dates for our planned trip next year. All is well.
