I purchased the required insurance for Costa Rica, however while studying and comparing what I needed, I spoke to another provider whose website was much more helpful in explaining how to to locate and provide the other documents for travel to Costa Rica including a step by step tutorial with website photos. Squaremouth should have that information on its website, which it does not (or did not in April, 2021).

Due to a change of plans after we arrived, I needed to extend our coverage two weeks. The customer service person I contacted was very good, polite and very helpful. We fully intend to use Trawick on our next International trip.
Had to alter my return flight when airline changed flights without notifying me. Trawick representative provided a fast reply that this would not affect my coverage, which gave me peace of mind before my trip.
I had a flight suspended due to the unexpected closure of Tahiti, resulting in us losing our non-refundable hotel stay. After submitting a claim based on an indefinite trip delay by the common carrier (i.e. airline), Trawick/Nationwide denied the claim. I am an attorney that does insurance coverage work, and the basis for the denial is pretexutal at best, and at worst an obvious "deny first" company policy to weed out the less-educated claimants. I am appealing the decision and plan to litigate and submit an insurance department complaint if needed.
Felt that the policy was unclear about covid cancelation. It stated that Covid was a reason for cancelation, but it did not state that cancelation was only if you contracted Covid. I could not find it on any of their policy information that fact and felt misled on how it was presented.
