I had a flight suspended due to the unexpected closure of Tahiti, resulting in us losing our non-refundable hotel stay. After submitting a claim based on an indefinite trip delay by the common carrier (i.e. airline), Trawick/Nationwide denied the claim. I am an attorney that does insurance coverage work, and the basis for the denial is pretexutal at best, and at worst an obvious "deny first" company policy to weed out the less-educated claimants. I am appealing the decision and plan to litigate and submit an insurance department complaint if needed.
Felt that the policy was unclear about covid cancelation. It stated that Covid was a reason for cancelation, but it did not state that cancelation was only if you contracted Covid. I could not find it on any of their policy information that fact and felt misled on how it was presented.

Trawick was not easy to deal with. When my trip was cancelled they didn’t give a refund, but a credit to use later.
Other companies, like Allianz, issued a credit to my card immediately.
Very easy to purchase and reasonably priced.
Mark from tradwick helped me out a lot. I was worried that Because I was sick ( did not have Covid) and they wouldn’t let me on the flight but he reassured me that tradwick would help me out

They haven’t called or emailed me in over a month. They never answer the phone no matter what time u call. They claim to be busy with travelers during covid. Personally I will never use them again

I have called twice to inquire about filing a claim. A nice lady helped me the first time by looking at my policy and hearing the details of my travel delay. But in the end she just gave me another number to call for Trawick International customer service. I called and a recording came on that said there was no one to answer the phone. I left a message for a call back. It has been 3 days and I haven’t had a call back. Poor service I’d say.
I still didn't receive refund for my air tickets my vacation been canceled in December 1 2020,because of critical medical issues.
