Trawick offers six comprehensive travel insurance policies through Squaremouth, each designed to provide different levels of coverage to suit various travel needs. Their most popular plan, Safe Travels Protect, delivers affordable protection for both trip cancellations and medical emergencies, making it an ideal choice for travelers on domestic and international trips alike.

*The overall customer rating is the average of all reviews for the provider since they joined the marketplace.
Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
Very disappointing experience in dealing with Trawick International. We had to cancel our trip due to COVID 19. Delta cancelled our flight to our destination and the country also closed it's borders one week prior to our departure. The Trawick International staff -- claims and customer service -- were so lacking in sympathy and professionalism that I will never work with them or Squaremouth again. I received far better service from the airline industry and hotels then from the industry that is designed to assist travelers in need. Not only did we lose the trip of a lifetime but the interactions with Trawick International made the experience even more awful. I have requested a refund of the insurance policy and am waiting to hear back.
My advice -- don't bother with Trawick International.
Cancelled my cruise due to coronavirus. Have requested to extend the coverage until next year.
My trip was cancelled but the Trawick needs to see a copy of my refund from the travel agency before they will issue a refund. The travel agency wants to apply my fee to my account for future travel so I don't have a copy of the check. I need to pursue with Trawick. Only gave the 5th question a 1 star since I did not take my trip.
Our trip was canceled due to border closures and airline cancelations. There was no exposure and we want the premium refunded. This the third or fourth time I have made this request
Lynn, I have checked our phone logs and emails and we do not have any correspondence from you. We did however get a call from Squaremouth on 4/1/2020 advising us you were trying to get in touch. A team member reached out on 4/1/2020 and 4/2/2020 to the phone number on file and left a voice message on your answering machine. Request for refund of premium instructions were sent via email to the address on file. I will have the team resend the email again. You can reach us at 888-301-9289.
My flight was canceled and the policy still blamed it on COVID and in result no money given back. I will continue to fight with providers and use my credit card to get money back. I honestly have felt like getting travel insurance is now a waste.
My cruise was cancelled due to the coronavirus, called and inform you representative and requested a refund, she informed me that I could not gat a refund of my $126.73 premium that I paid for this cruise. But I have intill December 2020 to transfer to another cruise, I informed her I might not be possible that I would be on another cruise with the restrictions they now implanted, I have another cruise with Carnival for May 21, 2020 which might be canceled as well. I would prefer my premiums be refunded back to me, I have been buying Cruise insurance from your company for quite awhile, never made a claim, but this is circumstances we cannot control, and your company should refund my premiums.
Our travel was by personal vehicle. Also it was a one way trip from Mexico to our home in Canada. On the night before our departure, we were informed by Squaremouth that this type of trip was not covered by the insurance. However, when I called the Trawick office on the morning of our departure, the agent thought we were covered. We departed without knowing for certain that we had travel insurance! Luckily, we had no incidents so we didn't test the policy, but I have no confidence in these agencies so this type of travel.
Filed clain due to back injury and was told it would tale 15 days to process refund.
I cancelled my trip to Israel for the obvious reasons. Claim has been filed and acknowledged, but have been told that long delays are likely due to the increased volume o claims they are experiencing.
Review Updated: 04/26/2020
I submitted the claim on 3/31---cancelling my Israel trip because of terrorist attacks. I enclosed documentation showing at least one attack on 2/6. That was well within the 30 days required by the policy.
I was contacted by email several times, twice asking me for the same documentation I had sent to them previously. I finally called and a very competent CSR called and found out where the claim was, and that it would be expedited to the reviewer. That meant that I would have an answer by the end of that week (4/24). Good news, I thought. Not so---I got an email instead of a check.
They denied saying the US Gov site did not indicate a terrorism attack. It was a level 2 warning then, now it only addresses the CO19 warnings. I had sent them numerous new stories, papers, quotes, etc. documenting increased terrorism in the country....including Jerusalem.
I immediately responded to that email appealing that denial, and am now once again waiting for my money. Impatiently waiting!! Isn't 2 months long enough? Why can't they call me instead of sending these redundant emails, the last one a denial.
All flights were canceled on my way to Spain. Hoping for reimbursement
