I tried to contact Trawick before the trip to see if I could pay to extend the policy - starting earlier because the dates of my trip changed. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I got a message that they were very busy and would call me back. They never did. Thank goodness I didn't have to file an actual claim, because who knows how bad the service would have been at that point. I will avoid purchasing from Trawick in the future.
My initial flight was delayed for so long that I missed my second flight and had to rebook it at full cost . I immediately called Trawick and after explaining my situation was given a second number to call. This call was to direct me to the correct insurance company, I called that number and - After calling that number and speaking with a claims expert, I was emailed a claim form which I filed immediately. Upon arriving home- I received no follow up, so I called for follow up. I remailed the form with the appropriate paperwork. I am currently awaiting some response.

My flight was delayed 1 day. When I contacted the insurance company I was given clear instructions on what to do to have my claim processed. The representative I talked to on the phone was very polite, sympathetic and easy to understand. They answered all my questions and spoke knowledgeably regarding my concerns. Within moments of finishing the call, I was emailed a form to fill and instructions regarding what paperwork was necessary to send. I was told that after my claim was received any correspondence would be done via email. I filled out the easy to understand form, photocopied all my paperwork- receipts etc. and mailed my package
Within 3 weeks I received my claim check in the mail. A very smooth and straightforward transaction.
We are very happy with the professionalism and quick response from Trawick and Nationwide Insurance.
Cost to increase coverage more than 30 days was very expensive
It was like I had to give them a kidney painful.I tried to explain my condition and sent all documents only to be told I didn’t put my name on the front of a document whereas all documents stated my name and when I called I identified my identity.Very poot
We had a basic influenza positive for my wife Patricia. She had 102 fever and other symptoms. The ships doctor gave both off us medication, my wife had one extra medication.
She was isolated for two days and now is cured.
Monday we mailed the claim forms and requested medical records.
We are waiting for email confirming Trawick has the mailed documents, diagnosis confirmation and is processing refund regarding the medical expenses.
The medical fee was automatically charged to my registered credit charge.
Hopefully the refund will be processed quickly.
I called to inquire about filing a claim. Their representative was good, very responsive, providing ample information needed to file a claim.
We are totally unsatisfied with the way our claim was handled. It took 2 and 1/2 MONTHS to finally get paid from the insurance. I spoke to at least 4 people over the course of several months and was unable to receive our refund, even though we sent in everything that was requested. I spoke to Trawick, to Nationwide to Co-ordinated Benefits before FINALLY reaching a woman (Gigi) who could help us. She was finally able to talk to American Airlines with our permission to receive a refund. We paid our insurance promptly and are unbelievably sad that it took so long to receive a claim of $1361.
We were unable to travel because of my medical problem as documented by my doctor. I think you should instruct the people at Trawick to be more professional and have more kindness in treating people who need to file a claim. After all, why do we purchase insurance in the first place?
We travel often and we will NEVER use your insurance again! You were recommended highly to us, and we expected better service considering we had to cancel because of illness.
We truly hope this message reaches the proper channels so they can try and teach their personnel how to better interact with clients. I will NEVER recommend your company to any of our friends who travel. This was definitely the worst insurance company that we have ever used and we hope that you will make a better effort in the future to help people who have to cancel through no fault of their own.
