Trawick offers six comprehensive travel insurance policies through Squaremouth, each designed to provide different levels of coverage to suit various travel needs. Their most popular plan, Safe Travels Protect, delivers affordable protection for both trip cancellations and medical emergencies, making it an ideal choice for travelers on domestic and international trips alike.
See how Trawick International compares to other providers on Squaremouth in customer satisfaction and service quality:
*The overall customer rating is the average of all reviews for the provider since they joined the marketplace.
Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I love square-mouth easy communication good service pleasant people. We may change our trip and I hope Trawck international will allow moving policy. That will have to wait, but the agent I spoke with was helpful.
It is misleading to continue to call this issuer "Trawick International" as the claims are all handled by Nationwide. Had I known before purchase that Nationwide was involved, I would have looked elsewhere. I looked at the Trawick reviews and they seemed OK, but now that I reviewed Nationwide, they have some horrible reviews that would have dissuaded me from purchasing this policy. SquareMouth should take responsibility for this deceptive advertising as Trawick seems to be just a sham to overcome Nationwide history of poor customer service.
They denied my claim for theft losses on the grounds that the vehicle was "left unattended" even though it was in a museum parking lot, under surveillance by 2 cameras and a parking attendant. This would qualify as attended by any reasonable person standard. Trawick and Nationwide just look for any reason to deny a claim and make it difficult for claimants.
They also denied my claim for loss of a Samsung tablet on the grounds that it was a computer or a cell phone; it is neither since it is an e-reader that does not have computing or phoning capabilities. The policy does not define the terms computer, cell phone or left unattended, therefore a reasonable person standard should apply--not their company interpretations that are designed to increase their rate of claim denials. I would not recommend buying travel insurance from either company.
My initial purchase did not go through because squaremouth's computers weren't connecting to Trawick, so it was a little inconvenient having to call someone the following day to complete the purchase. I prefer to do everything online.
I tried to cancel this policy the day after I bought it because I realized that I already had another policy but was unable to do so because it was a Saturday and the office was closed. Spoke to someone in another part of the company who was going to get back to me and never did.
We thought we would need to return home early due to the death of a loved one. Contacted Trawick and they were working for us. We didn’t have to return early and don’t have to file a claim but appreciate the concern and work for us.
I felt that the way the site was laid and the links made it fairly easy to understand. If I remember correctly (it's been a minute since this trip), but I did have some questions about what certain terms meant and received the information needed.
very very good
I am *NOT* happy with the travel insurance policy (Trawick) that I purchased through SquareMouth. I incurred a small medical expense (a few hundred dollars) while in Singapore due a toe injury. I sent all the information to Trawick who then referred me to their 3rd party claims processor. Once with them, it took a few months for them to get back to me requesting 'additional' information. I immediately provided that information and it's now been several months with still no paid claim.
The amount of time, energy, and paperwork invoiced to be reimbursed a few hundred dollars for the doctor visit/procedure it certainly NOT worth it.
What SquareMouth should do is separate reviews for their various policies based on those who needed to file claims vs those who didn't. It's easy to give a 5-star review for the purchase process and pre-departure metrics when nothing is expected to happen, and for most people nothing does happen, so the bountiful 5-star reviews make sense. But, I suspect if you segment those reviews into those who actually needed to file a claim, the reviews would be much better.
I will never get a policy through Trawick again.
I had a question. They answered it in a professional way. No problems.
Always use square mouth when we travel. Trawick is great just bought a new policy with them for our cruise next year👍
