I am just in the process of gathering all of the material necessary to file a claim. So far, the process has worked well. I was able to get the form I needed quickly and the customer service rep answered any questions about the information needed for the form.

We were delayed going home in Milan, Italy and as a result had to spend and unplanned night in NYC, incurring some unanticipated expenses. I am currently trying to recover those expenses and it is a difficult and time consuming process. I am planning another trip abroad in 2020 and will consider using another company for trip insurance.
Michele, thank for submitting a review. Can you explain which part of the claim is time consuming? I think there is only a claim form and proof of your loss to file the claim. If you have receipts together it should take 10 – 15 minutes to get them claim form filled and sent via email. You can even take photos of your receipts, if you don’t have a scanner. I haven’t made a final judgment. Their 3rd party reps make it very difficult to file a simple claim for medical needs that cost less than $100

The process was onerous, impersonal and incomplete. They did not abide by the policy terms that Squaremouth sent me.
I have reported the company to Squaremouth and am still waiting for them to follow through
Trawick uses a third party whose job it is to not pay legitimate claims.
This was a very small claim. I provided extensive documentation, as well as additional personal information that they demanded.
This is the third time that I have purchased travel insurance in the last two years. This is the first time I have had a claim
Thank you Teresa, for giving us a review. You mentioned the claim process difficult for simple claim for a small amount. As with any claim, the proof of the loss is a requirement. Documents (proof) are not decided based on amount of the claim, rather they are related to the benefit that you claimed for. So a medical claim for $5 requires just as much paperwork as a medical claim for $1,000.

During my trip I developed pneumonia. I had to return earlier on my physicians advice.
At first my claim was rejected without any explanation I appealed this decision and was then told to get a second letter from my physician.My claim was then partially paid. Co-ordinated benefit plan decided to pay for the airline rebooking but not for the hotel cancellation.I would NOT recommend during travel insurance!
Each back and forth took months.My claimtook 4 months to partial payment

Everyone was very helpful. I accidently put the wrong date on the policy and they corrected with no issues. Easy to deal with and very helpful.
