    The insurance is misleading as to being able to make a one time change to the policy. When I needed to cancel the booked cruise and rebook a different cruise there were SO many restrictions and misinformation and policy changes from the agent I worked with, the back and forth became ridiculous after awhile. I decided to cut my losses and decided to cut my losses, NEVER use either Trawick OR Squaremouth again, and to warn other potential unsuspecting customers before they make an unfortunate choice of trip insurance provider like I did!

    We could not go on our trip due to a severe injury. We began the process of filing the claim two weeks before we were supposed to leave. Trawick outsources their claims process to MySureGo. The documentation they requested seemed redundant and excessive but we supplied everything they requested. We are still waiting for a response.

    I did not go the trip. I had to cancel for health reasons and Trawick worked with me to get a refund that was not covered by the travel company. I was very pleased with the way they worked with me.

    You purchase insurance in case you have to cancel your trip as well as if something goes wrong during your trip. We cancelled our trip due to multiple reasons. One being Delta changed flights both ways which would have meant we would have to stay 2 additional nights in the hotel one before the cruise and one after. There was also a medical condition that factored into our cancelling our trip. Our Cruise Deposit was non refundable and the insurance said our cancellation was "not a Sudden and unforeseen event." Purchasing the insurance gives you a false sense of security, because they decide under what circumstances they give a refund.

    Trawick customer service is very nice and helpful. But the claims process has been very tedious and slow. I'm hoping we can get this resolved soon!

    The process of submitting evidence of an expense was slow. I had to resubmit documents. Also, when I submitted the claim for me and my spouse, we were assigned 2 claim numbers and it was confusing as to which claim I needed to submit information. The online interface was clunky but when I talked to a real person, they were very helpful.

    I was in Athens, Greece needing to locate a physician for my wife. I called the emergency assistance line and they promised to email me contact information for a local doctor. The email never came. I did finally find a doctor thru my tour director. The emergency assistance person encouraged me to contact the claims department to let them know that I would be filing a claim. I tried to do that, but their claims office was only answering phones something like 9am-5pm central time -- which did me no good as I was in Athens and a very different time zone. I did get a complete medical report from the local Greek doctor, but when I got home and started the claim process I find that Trawick expects me to hand the doctor Trawick's standard medical report form--obviously can't happen now that I am back in Denver, CO. We will see if Trawick accepts the medical report written mostly in Greek. It seems like Trawick is not really setup to support clients who are overseas and have an emergency.

    My experience with Squaremouth has been excellent. So far my experience with Trawick has not been good. They are requesting additional medical records, their letter requests records back to 2003. Apparently that was a typo and it should have been 2023. I asked for a new letter with correct dates which I haven’t received yet.

    I had issues at the beginning of the claim process with the amount of documentation Trawick requested, but with Squaremouth’s assistance, the claim was handled quickly and satisfactorily.
