I filed a claim but have not heard anything yet.
I was unable to find the initial email sent with my insurance coverage information, I reached out to customer service and the coverage email was immediately resent. I appreciated the prompt response.
I was in Athens, Greece needing to locate a physician for my wife. I called the emergency assistance line and they promised to email me contact information for a local doctor. The email never came. I did finally find a doctor thru my tour director. The emergency assistance person encouraged me to contact the claims department to let them know that I would be filing a claim. I tried to do that, but their claims office was only answering phones something like 9am-5pm central time -- which did me no good as I was in Athens and a very different time zone. I did get a complete medical report from the local Greek doctor, but when I got home and started the claim process I find that Trawick expects me to hand the doctor Trawick's standard medical report form--obviously can't happen now that I am back in Denver, CO. We will see if Trawick accepts the medical report written mostly in Greek. It seems like Trawick is not really setup to support clients who are overseas and have an emergency.
My experience with Squaremouth has been excellent. So far my experience with Trawick has not been good. They are requesting additional medical records, their letter requests records back to 2003. Apparently that was a typo and it should have been 2023. I asked for a new letter with correct dates which I haven’t received yet.

I had issues at the beginning of the claim process with the amount of documentation Trawick requested, but with Squaremouth’s assistance, the claim was handled quickly and satisfactorily.
I needed to contact Trawick International customer service to increase the initial coverage amount of my policy and lengthen the planned duration of my trip. The customer service agent was very helpful, and I was easily able to modify my original policy for a reasonable cost.
My initial experience was excellence. I upgraded my cabin on the cruise, so I needed to revise my coverage. It was easy to accomplish as the rep knew what I needed and made the change quickly.
I would use this company again. Good experience!
Although all documentation was submitted electronically.th process at the end seemed to stop. After a 203 week hiatus I contacted the company to find the status of the claim yet heard nothing back until Squaremouth went to bat for me. Then the claim was resolved and the matter settled quickly.
They have been very helpful and willing to help. The only thing dont like is the emails that I keep receiving stating they need more information when they havent reviewed it yet when I call to find out what information they still need
I will never buy your insurance again. You let me down on two consecutive trips. The first was international, where I missed a connection when my flight was rescheduled and then went 3 days without my suitcase. The second was a backroads trip to Vermont that I had to cancel when I learned I needed surgery on my spine.
They have not completed review of my claim after waiting for four months! I’m completely disappointed with this company and would never recommend them. They’ve been given every piece of information they asked for more than once and I still have not received a check. Shame on them, only David Hosey actually tried to move the process along and failed. There’s no reason this claim should be dragging on except that Trawick just doesn’t want to pay!
