Being pro-active, I called to ask if my husband can go home on an earlier flight. I didn't want him ending up in hospital in Hongkong. After talking to your representative, and she telling me that I could claim for charges to a flight change but might not be covered, I realized that your role is not preventative but rather reactive. Only when an insured is hospitalized or injured and in hospital will you act. I was grateful that my husband didn't end up in hospital during our stay in Hongkong. Yes, I still will recommend this policy to our senior friends. It is still good value.
After purchasing the insurance, I called back a day or 2 later to correct the total amount paid for the trip. The customer service rep she will send a corrected insurance letter but never did. If I had to file a claim, this will definitely be a big item to resolve.
We Had to cancel our trip prior to departure. I emailed Trawick, got no response. I had to call them to get the necessary forms, which I then had trouble printing out. Additionally, they want a cancellation letter from the airlines that the carrier (Delta) does not provide. We will see how difficult it is to get reimbursement from this company.
Just filed a claim so will have to judge satisfaction after the claim is processed.

The process to acquire insurance was simply. Customer service was extremely helpful. I will look to this site if I'm in need of additional insurance.
I had never used international travel insurance before, or any travel insurance for that matter. The customer service rep was very helpful. She guided me on the amount I needed to purchase. Also, she walked me through what is eligible for coverage and what is not. She was polite and very knowledgeable.
I found this policy to be the simplest option for our needs. No hassle , no fuss , no endless questions to answer.
