Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
Claim was paid w/in 3 weeks. Simple online process. It was a small $500 claim.
However, there is no way to see the progress that the claim is taking. Didn't get any response when I asked a question via email. Didn't see any where to 'log in' to see progess or anywhere to know how long to wait for the claim to be paid (3 weeks or 3 months).... the check just showed up in the mailbox. It would have been nice to at least have gotten an email..... "you're claim has been processed & a check should be arriving in your mail within the next week"
I went thru a travel claim process once before (when my mother-in-law died when we were overseas & needed to get home) that process took 3 months with a lot of back & forth email & phone calls. So, when it was not possible to get any contact with your company to make sure I had sent in correct documentation, it made me wonder...... how long do I wait to find out if I'm getting reimbursement or did I miss something in my claim & need to add more documentation......
I went to Iceland, and it was a pricey trip. It is good to know you are covered for health or last minute developments. My big worry was the news of (intermittent) volcanic activity relatively near to our destination airport and the capitol city. I called customer service and only got a vague answer as to whether an eruption would be compensable as an 'unexpected' event vs. a predictable risk not included. Ultimately, it wasn't going to change my plans, so I'm glad I didn't have to find out.
All perfect, as expected.
It was an easy process and was completed promptly.
We were caught in the Aer Lingus pilot strike. We were able to rebook a more expensive flight and not disrupt our other travel plans. We have a small claim of $400 into Trawick and mysurego. com claims. It has been a very frustrating experience. We are now 70 days out from claim submission and I keep getting emails that they need more documentation (asking for the same documents I submitted). I have spoken with their customer service on 9/2/24 (no one had looked at the claim at that point and I had to ask for an "escalation". I then got emails x 2 asking for the same documents I submitted. Their customer service on the 9/20/24 call said they could see the documents were there and asked for another document to back up my payment. I did so. I received another email today, 10/9/24 asking for the same documents again. Their website says they have a $10 claim needing more data which is misinformation, I never made a $10 claim.
All in all, this isn't a company I could recommend to anyone. Not sure I will ever be paid and as far as I'm concerned would never take advice from Squaremouth again. Trawick International is Zero stars in my book.
I had a damaged luggage during a flight. I reported to Trawick International right away, but didn't get a response. I tried a second time, still no response. I forwarded my query to SquareMouth, and only then after a couple of days that Trawick responded to me. They have forwarded my claim to SureGo, a third party administrator. I have forwarded all the required documents from my side, but I still haven't received any status on my claim. Although my claim is not a high dollar amount, I'm still disappointed on the response.
Overall my experience was great, very informative customer service and supported all my needs.
Very disappointed in customer service. I reported luggage damage when I arrived at my first destination. On return I contacted again with update and copy of completed airline claim as an FYI. Email was bounced back so I called and spoke with a representative who was very rude and accused me of trying to claim twice, once from airline and then from insurance. At the end of the day I’ve just heard that the airline is settling my claim in full. Anyway left a sour taste and I won’t recommend Trawick which incidentally I’ve used for my annual trip for years and had no claims.
I purchased insurance for 3 family members and a friend to cover the non-refundable airline flights for a trip to Nova Scotia. Unfortunately there was a death in our family and we cancelled our trip weeks before our departure. I contacted Trawick and they told me that this was a covered event. They emailed the forms and information on how to file a claim. After submitting all the necessary paperwork, we each received a check for the amount of the airline flights within two weeks. I was very pleased with customer service representative, the filing directions and the speed at which we received our reimbursement. I would purchase Trawick insurance for future trips.
The only thing I might do differently is to purchase a “cancel for any reason” policy because you don’t know if something might come up to cause a trip to be cancelled that is not a covered event.
Prices are so high for senior citizens even when in excellent health.
