  • Trawick International policy: Safe Travels Journey

    The trip that was insured was a September 2024 riverboat cruise with American Queen Voyages that filed for bankruptcy in May 2024. Since there was no cruise to insure I requested a refund of the cost of the travel insurance. The underwriter eventually agreed to a prorated refund. While I was happy to get a partial refund, under a COVID situation I was able to get a full refund.

    Our train was cancelled and I am hoping they will cover the cost of the driver we had to use since our train was cancelled.

    Easy process. Refund sent within 2/3?weeks.

    It has taken a long time for Trawick to process my claim. Trawick can take my trip money immediately but take 15 days to review whether to refund my money with a legitimate claim. In addition, falsly accuse that Viking Cruise granted me some type of voucher after the cruise. Which only slowed the process! Which Trawicj has YET TO PAY!! I am not pleased with the claim policy time period!

    The company has not met their own timelines. I have to call them for status report. After I submitted all requested documents, now they want a Dr. Report. Their e mail claims to have an attached form, not true. I have to call their office to track down the form! In the mean time they want me to complete this process within their dates and time is being waisted since they didn’t attached the form

    I submitted my claim documents for travel cancellation on Sept. 9 and received an automated email confirmation of receipt the same date. I have not had any contact since. I do wish it were possible to check the status of my claim by logging into the site. I will be happy to provide an updated review after my claim has been settled. Thank you!

    Communication on this claim was very disappointing. I had no idea of the status f my claim and didn’t know who or how to ask.

    Ultimately, I am pleased with the claim resolution but the communication gap added enough stress for me, I would look for a different carrier next time I purchase travel insurance,

    I have no idea how well it would have gone had I made a claim because I didn't need to make a claim. Customer service was okay when I contacted them but I never received the policy until I contacted them.

    Squaremouth Policy 2431467
    We have been trying to resolve a simple +/- $250 claim for an August 2024 trip since September. They continually either fail to respond or ask for more unrelated documentation. It seems obvious that they are trying to outlast us. They have a 3.1 rating on Google reviews with many having the same complaint we've noted above. You should not be representing this company. Any help resolving in support of your "zero complaints" is appreciated.
