Online claim filing was easy and personal contact with claim representative was very helpful. Presently waiting for response to a trip interruption claim.
I may or may not submit a claim for approximately $1000 if one particular travel provider is not able to produce the promised refund. So my final evaluation of Trawick depends on whether I submit this claim and if so, whether it is covered in an appropriate way. When I sent an email to customer service asking about the time frame for a claim in these circumstances, they responded promptly.

My husband dropped out of trip close to departure date, and I was pleased that I got a partial premium refund very easily. Didn't make any claims, but it was worth it knowing I was covered. I got covid one day after returning home, so different timing might have been very costly.
I will never recommend them! Frankly they are an embarrassment to your company.
I had to cancel my trip to Japan due to medical problems. I submitted their medical forms which the doctor filled out. I also included a letter from the doctor.

I called to check on the status and the customer service said they had until. JULY 17.
This is an unacceptable amount of time! I paid for coverage and the trip and now i am OUT the$3000 plus coverage payment!

A friend advised us to purchase insurance for our international travel so we contacted SquareMouth Travel Ins. who got us a quote from Trawick. It was a very easy process. We did not have to use it but it was reassuring to know that we were covered.
I misplaced my passport and had to get an Emergency Passport in Copenhagen. This was to replace a brand new passport. The Emergency fee via the U.S. Embassy was $165.00. Upon returning home I contacted Nationwide and was told this would not qualify for any reimbursement, which was quite disappointing. Will you please reconsider this? Please advise at your first opportunity.

We suffered a medical emergency and had to cancel our trip the night before departure. I called Trawick in an effort to cancel the policy and they said that because it was *technically* now the day of departure (past midnight), they could not cancel the policy. It felt very unfair to me since I was still calling well before the scheduled departure time of the aircraft. So I ended up having to pay hundreds of dollars for international medical coverage in a country we were no longer going to.
