Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I won’t travel out of the country without travel insurance. I find it easy to sign up for it, but I can’t really rate it unless I see how they they do when I have to make a claim. Fortunately, I’ve never made a claim.
Their customer representative did not speak clearly (difficult to understand) and the link they sent me to submit a claim took me to an inoperative website ("certificate expired 6 days ago"). It just wasn't worth the hassle for a very small claim anyway. Just happy it was a minor amount.
I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Trawick Intermational. During my trip, I lost my backpack containing my ipad, electronic keyboard, apple pen, earrings, prescription glasses, and more, all of which I assumed would be covered under my policy. Unfortunately, I discovered too late that electronics were not covered.
Despite this, I feel that the company made me go through an extensive and tedious claims process, requiring me to provide detailed information, including pictures and descriptions of the lost items. After all the effort I put into gathering and submitting the required documentation, the company denied my claim covering only $250 and to date, I have not received any communication or a check.
The lack of transparency and communication is unacceptable. I feel misled and let down by this company, and I would caution others to thoroughly review their policies and be prepared for a frustrating experience should they need to file a claim. I will not be using Trawick International again in the future.

I had to change the start date for my departure and I called Trawick. The woman that I spoke with changed the date immediately without any hassles.
They paid the claim and didn't ask for additional information. But, it did take 5 weeks after the claim was made to get payment. It's a little tricky to figure out how to get in touch with them to check on the status of a claim. But, all in all professional.
Only pays for injuries while away. My wife's injury did not inflate into an issue until back from trip. No claim or reimbursement issued.
Thought it was a great value for the cost. It gave me reassurance, on a challenging trip, that I would have great support, if needed.
It was a waste of money. Won’t do it again and won’t recommend it to others. I’ll share this experience on social media so other travelers may benefit from this unfortunate experience.
Claim 201450 was denied. Trawick stated that this is a pre-existing condition for Annamae's pancreatic cancer.

We bought the insurance from Squaremouth on 2/17/2024, effective 2/18/2024. Annamae had a Final Diagnosis on 2/23/2024. We still had all intentions to go on the cruise. Annamae had surgery on 3/04/2024 and has been receiving chemo after the surgery. Both the surgeon and her oncologist indicated the she could not travel. Why do you buy insurance to protect your family and have Trawick decline insurance based on what Trawick interprets as a pre-existing condition. Until a Final Diagnosis on 2/23/2024 was determined, Annamae did not have cancer. Trawick says it was pre-existing. No compassion what so ever for the client. I hope that Trawick feels very good about their decision to not honor a Pancreatic cancer claim.
Very soon after booking our trip we had to cancel. I asked for money back and you said no. **** you
