Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.

Hard to file a claim.
The process repeatedly made the process so complex and difficult and seemingly impossible to complete. It seem that everything was done to make me give up on the process. In fact I am considering reporting this to the better business bureau as a serious complaint. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with how you have processed this claim. I’m
The representative at Squaremouth was very helpful in answering my questions about specific circumstances that the various insurances would cover, which helped me chose which one to pick.
Haven't received response from Trawick as of 4/1/24.
Would appreciate if you can help with a follow up. Thanks!
I understand once you purchase the insurance it is insurance, but we had paid for 2 people that ended up not being able to travel on this trip so we lost money, wish we could have been able to cancel their policy and get our money back for them.
I will never buy another product with Trawick or Nationwide again. We travel 3-5 times a year on big trips so I feel more comfortable being covered by insurance. I bought $977.26 worth of insurance for a recent cruise to see the northern lights. Upon review of my policy two weeks before our trip I noticed that the date was wrong and I called to change by one day one the beginning and one day on the end to cover the travel days. I was charged $72.81 to do this. This is ridiculous to charge a good customer this for 2 days of coverage. I noticed this on another trip I have booked for August and that provider charged me nothing for the two days. Good luck doing business like this.
I’m still awaiting an email back from Trawick to file a claim. Called and was instructed to use their claims website. Filled out all of the information, twice, can’t find me. I emailed them several days ago. They confirmed receipt, but still waiting. Not pleased.
It is annoying to only communicate through email when I needed to explain something to customer service in claims. They did not provide a thorough explanation of the claim amount, and despite me providing them with the detail of my expenses, they made their own assumptions. This is the first time I've ever made a travel insurance claim that was not fully paid. I will avoid Trawick in the future.
Review Updated: 06/27/2024
I had a trip booked for 4 people. Due to a medical emergency, two of us were not able to take the trip. The two who could not travel had different airfare from the other two who did go. I provided all receipts to the insurance company for reimbursement (including receipts for those who were able to go). They would not reimburse our actual airline tickets cost, instead using an average for all travelers. I tried following up after the initial reimbursement, but I was not able to get anyone to solve the problem or even to talk to customer service live to either explain or find a solution so I eventually gave up. I could understand if I didn't have the actual receipts, but I did and they just ignored it. I would not want to deal with them again.
nothing to say, all ok, as expected
