Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
Trawick denied out claim. We could not travel to Israel due to Israel being at War after Hamas attacked Israel. I can't imagine that this claim would be denied. We have not seen our daughter, husband and 6 grandchildren since before Covid. We were extremely anxious to visit and it was with a heavy heart that we needed to cancel. How could this not be a reason to honor our claim. Delta reimbursed 100%. El Al reimbursed 70% and we simply were putting in a claim for the remaining balance that Trawick denied. This is NOT right. Please help.

Day before departure back home one of my ears got stuffed. That day I was doing some sightseeing and noticed it in evening. Next day I had flight back home. I decided to call in morning see if I can file claim but go to doctor at home (flight was afternoon it was no time to do check it at local doctor). So I called customer service I was told that I can’t do it back home. Basically I was told go to local doctor, miss flight and file claim doctor reimbursement and trip reimbursement. It was no any assistance with this insurance and advise made no sense. I got flashback movie The rainmaker when Jackie Lemanczyk was testifying:…all claims must be denied…” I guess insurance business is still as usual back in 60th or 70th.
When I ordered the insurance I booked incorrect dates. I called and was connected with a person who changed the dates without any issues or additional charges.
While I was on the cruise I cut my big right toe I went to the ships doctor who put me on antibiotics and told me to see my doctor when I returned home. I called trawich international insurance to get a claim form for the follow up appointment but the nice lady said it was not within the dates for my policy by one day and she said she would not send a claim form
Purchasing my original medical policy was pretty routine. I checked several companies, and found that Trawick had the price and features I was looking for.
Then I found that I had to increase my limit. So I called Customer Service and spoke with a Customer Service agent. She was very knowledgeable and seamlessly increased my limit.
This is not the first time I have used Trawick. I am very satisfied with them, and will likely use them for future travels.
Easy purchasegoid value easy to make modifications
I had a heart attack and open heart surgery 30 days before. I was supposed to leave on my trip. Of course, I could not leave the country. So I filed a claim. The first few people continued to give me wrong information. I finally got someone that knew what they were doing. They told me how to fill out the forms and where to get them. I emailed everything back with the doctors notes, medical info, etc. It took about 20 days. But the checks came when they said they would.I would like to tell, when you buy a policy that says secondary policy I. Assumed, it meant they paid medical bills secondary. However this means they pay secondary for everything. But the cruise line did refund a tiny amount, and Trawick paid the difference.
Just to explain that secondary means everything is secondary not just medical. But I am very pleased with the outcome between the cruise line and Trawick. I was paid back in full from my lost trip will use them again. Also The agents that I spoke to check the status were the most polite helpful people I've ever dealt with..
Easy to compare different policies and coverage. My question was answered through assistance chat. Did not need to make a claim so can’t answer to how that went. Felt better knowing I had coverage if needed.
Fortunately we were able to complete our travel and did not need to file a claim. Prior to our departure we called to get information about possibly needing to cancel our trip due to flight cancelation. We were supposed to start the very beginning of our travels on a Boing 900Max jet. At the time all of those planes were grounded by the FAA due to an incident on one of those types of jets. The customer service agents with out travel insurance were nice and trying to be helpful, but they had no idea what we were talking about; as if it hadn't been all over the news headlines for weeks. The customer service agent just kept saying that "mechanical issues" is not a qualifying reason to cancel. The agent could not answer and specific questions unless a claim was filed. It was frustrating. Fortunately we were able to change our reservation with the airline to a different flight using a differenct airplain. My only complaint is that is seems like somebody with travel insurance should have knowledge about major issues in the airlines that had been going on for 2 weeks and all over the news.
Trip insurance was purchased online. When my traveling companion was unable to travel and had to cancel because of health reason, it was in my best interest to cancel also.
I filed a claim and when I determined exactly what I needed to submit for my claim to be settled, it was settled. A check was sent for the amount claimed.
