Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
We needed to have insurance as we were traveling to Egypt as the Israeli-Hamas war was going on. We secured the insurance well in advance. We were comfortable knowing if we had to cancel due to a State Dept terror alert our trip cost would be covered. We also needed the medical insurance as Medicare does not cover you when you are out of the country. fortunately we did not experience any interruption to our trip either on the airline or during the 12 days of our trip.
Claim was handled fairly promptly and accurately. The only negatives: the online function for some reason did not work and I had to fill in and scan the claim; also, other documentation was requested that really was included in the first information I sent, thus delaying the process, although not substantially
My trip went great and I do not need to file a claim. The peace of mind knowing I was properly insured if something did go astray, only added to the enjoyment of my vacation.
The war in Israel is what caused the trip to be cancelled. We have submitted a claim and have heard nothing as of today (it’s only been 2 1/2 weeks).
I filed my claim 3 weeks ago, but have not heard from anyone.
Trip was cancelled due to terrorist attacks in visiting country. Was very hard to find out how to submit claim and figure out a policy number that actually worked on site. Had to call to get this number. It was not the same as what was emailed. It has been a few weeks since submitting claim and still have not received any information on getting refunded.

Still nothing received after 2 months
While in port at Cannes, France my traveling companion fell and received a compound fracture. I was forced to go pack up everything and stay with her in Cannes as she had surgery immediately following her arrival at the hospital. I had to get a hotel room and Uber back and forth to the hospital every day. She had a policy also that helped greatly for her. I’m trying to gather all the documentation of mine together to file on mine as I need to get some of my expenses back.
I had settled my “on the ground” trip with the provider directly. I am going to open a claim for the airline tickets only.
After submitting the required information. My claim was processed quickly.
I contacted the 24-hour international support number as soon as it became evident that my husband was too sick to travel. They were willing to help me find a doctor for him, but the hotel was able to find one sooner. In terms of rebooking flights, they basically said that I was on my own to do that. Our hotel was fully booked and would only let us stay one additional night. Their only advice for finding a new hotel was for me to get on hotels.com and find something myself. That was not very helpful; I was expecting more assistance.
I couldn't submit my claim online because the claim submission website didn't recognize my policy number and wouldn't let me set up an account. I called them several times for assistance (with long hold times) but they finally told me to just email the claim form with all supporting information. That was a week ago and I still haven't received any confirmation that they received my claim, just a short reply that said they had received my email and to not reply to their email. Since I couldn't submit online, I can't track the status of my claim. So far I'm not very satisfied with the claim submission procedure, but we'll see how it goes.
