Trawick International Travel Insurance Reviews

I have been very satisfied with Trawick, and have purchased policies for previous trips. On this trip, I suffered a fall early on the trip and was taken to the hospital in Venice, Italy. Very disappointed with the service there and left with a 720 Euro bill, which I have not paid and have asked for assistance from my Congressional representative in disputing some of the charges. Eventually, I will pay the bill, likely reduced from the current amount. My Medicare supplemental policy provides reimbursement of 80% of charges over $250, and I will file with them once I have an amended bill from the Venice hospital. Then I plan on submitting a claim for the balance with Trawick. This may take some time. I expect the claim to be on the order of $400, give or take.

I was and am still unclear on exactly how a preexisting condition is defined. I have chronic afib which can lead to other issues or restrictions. I was not able to get an answer to whether such a complication would be considered a preexisting condition. However, I decided to go ahead and plan the trip and thankfully I did not have to find out.

Easy to obtain and gives you piece of mind in case you may need to use the insurance.

Easy purchase process..good coverage

Filing a claim is really hard. You make it easy to purchase a policy to hard to file the claim. Very disappointing.

The customer servicer person that I spoke with was helpful and very patient with regards to answering my questions. She spend considerable time with me discussing the options available and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find the right insurance plan for my situation for the best possible price.

The whole process was easy and we felt safe knowing we had the insurance

I previously used another insurance policy on previous trip of less value and paid more with Trawick plus taken much longer for simple $1,000 claim.
I had accident and never allowed to fly again. I paid close to $300 in insurance and just asking for $1,000 airfare—not even for trip.
