At first using the website was confusing but once that was mastered I felt comfort. I would have liked to know what parts of our claim was paid and what was not covered since the amount received was less than what we submitted….though I’m ok with the amount basically.
The requirements of the policy made it impossible to file a claim. My wife and I got Covid in the middle of our trip. We were in Iceland. The policy requires a PCR test and a doctor letter regarding quarantine. There are only two locations in the entire nation that perform PCR tests and the nations policy is not to require quarantine. We were sick and confined to our hotel room for 4 days and had to pay expensive air fare to get home. I could not file a claim because it was impossible to meet the terms of the policy. A real Catch 22.

Despite being very sick with pneumonia, I Sar on hold for a long time and then was emailed a claims form for lost baggage. It did not fit my circumstances. I haven't felt well enough until now to continue to search for help. I need to replace my hearing aid ASAP. Thank tou for any help you can give me. I always obtain travel insurance when I travel and hope that I am not disappointed by Trawick
Customer service representative was very nice, patient & knowledgeable, answering all of our questions. We were given a couple of options for coverage & were sent emails with cost & coverage summary of each one so we could compare & decide which would be best for us. Fortunately, we did not have to make a claim, but having this insurance definitely gave us peace of mind. We will continue to purchase policies from Squaremouth whenever we travel outside the USA.
As the trip time grew closer, twice I needed to increase the amount of coverage due to additional pre-paid expenses such as upgraded airfare. It was easy to reach Trawick Customer Service and quickly increase the coverage and pay the relatively small incremental amount of premium. Kudos to Squaremouth and Trawick.
I sent my claim via email as was listed as an option on the claim form. I received confirmation email of receipt but nothing else. I had to call in after a month of no communication to determine the status of my claim. I never received a claim number, but they were able to locate my claim with my policy number. My checks arrived 2 weeks later. This is why I gave 4 stars. If they want you to file your claim online, they should state that on the forms you need to print and fill out.
