We were unable to go on the trip due to a back injury. I have filed a claim and provided a ridiculous amount of paperwork but I can’t seem to get a response as to when the claim will be paid.
I'm waiting to see how Trawick handles our claim. On route to Dallas our flight was diverted to Houston. We then missed our connecting flight to Shanghai. American Airlines couldn't get us there until 3 days later thus we lost 3 days of our trip.

When I first contacted Trawick and verified that they had all the information and documents needed, they told me an adjuster was already given the case. When I asked them how long were they expected to finalize the claim, they told me 30 to 60 days. A totally unreasonable amount of time. I then immediately called Squaremouth and they contacted Trawick. The case was handled immediately. I'll always book through Squaremouth because of this service.

Just list your specific needs and get quotes in seconds.If you have any questions, your customer service reps are knowledgable and take time explaning unfamiliar legal terms or policy limits. They are very helpful.
The company was quick to take my money to issue the policy, but as I'm making a claim, it's been a week and I've heard nothing back. Would be nice to have the same level of service in responding to a claim as they have when taking your money.
This is the 2nd time we are purchasing travel insurance frrom Trawick. Didn't have to file a claim when we first travelled. But we both got sick when we were in New Zealand and had to seek emergency medical help during our trip. Called the emergency number and got instructions to seek help.I am not completely well and had to see my primary health care provider yesterday and she prescribed additional medications and lab tests. Will be submitting a claim for reimbursement soon for the expenses abroad after I gather all my bills and documents.
So far my experiences with this policy is very good. I already recommended Trawick to one of my friend's family and they purchased a policy from Trawick. I will update my review after I submit my claim.
Avoid Trawick International insurance. We had a 24 hour delay leaving JFK due to a Delta mechanical issue, and we missed the first night of our Airbnb in Barcelona. Simple claim for 1 night missed stay, right? Filed the claim on December 3, 2024 and FINALLY received a check on May 12, 2025 - 5-1/2 months later. When I could no longer get Trawick to answer their phones, I ended up getting Squaremouth's Zero Complaint Team to help with the claim, and even with their help, it took over 2 additional months for resolution/payment. This was the first time I have actually filed a claim for travel insurance and I can't believe how long it took. Squaremouth acknowledged that they know there is a problem with the claim handling by Trawick and yet they continue to sell their policies. I wish there was an option for zero stars, because I think it would more accurately reflect my claim.
