Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I contacted Trawick as soon as I knew i could not go on my vacation, filled out the forms, this was back in November. I have sensed emailed them several times, finally received a response for more information, which I gave them back in early January, then again they sent another form which I signed, early February, and still waiting for refund. I would not use them again. If you can help in any way, please do.
The claims office was helpful in providing information about filing a claim. I downloaded and filled out a paper claim form which was emailed with supporting documentation to Trawick. Discovered after I was done that there was an online alternative filing process that I probably would have preferred to use. The claim for a canceled cruise due to urgent surgery has just been filed so I have nothing to report on the outcome of the claim.
They were easy to contact and were quite responsive when we said that we had to make changes to our trip dates.
We changed our plans from Costa Rico to Mexico and the agent I dealt with made the change through email communications. It was easily and quickly accomplished
Waiting for the claim to be processed. This is the REAL test of your services! So far, claim processing is SLOW! All I have heard is that they have received my claim on 2/27. No further communication.
I needed to place a claim. The claim was settled but you paid me in two checks.
I never received the second check, and I was told I had to wait 30 days before you can send me the check I never received!!
Its frustrating. Not sure why one check was not sent. It just complicates things especially they don't go well!!

Two checks were mailed to me an I only received 1!! Still have not received the second check it’s been about six weeks waiting for the second check!!
The only contact we had with Trawick was a phone call we made in order to extend the length of our trip by a few days. The person was very helpful and they didn’t charge us any extra for the extension.
Trawick only has an on-line claim service with no way to follow up on progress of claim. Trawick has not even acknowledged receipt of claim. Original claim made 2-3 weeks ago. No way for claimant to contact or know what is going on. Hope Squaremouth can light a fire or their claim of 100% satisfaction for its insurance partners is in jeopardy.
We were told that we needed the insurance, but when we got to Costa Rica to pick up the vehicle, they said the insurance doesn't work there. So we had to pay for the insurance in Costa Rica, therefore we feel we've paid for it twice. The Costa Rican rep. said that people get double charged all the time and that we should contact you when we get back from our trip for a refund.
My sister who lives near me, had a health issue that required ambulance transport over 50 miles away, on 2/1/2023.
After discharge she was unable to provide care for herself and transportation to her many doctors she was set up to see. I am the primary caregiver for my sister, so we cancelled the trip on 2/6/2023 which we were due to take 2/9 to 2/18/2023.
The insurance form requires a single doctor to sign and say what her illness was. She was sent for our local ER physician to Asheville,NC. Her cardiac condition required a cardiologist, a neurologist, her primary care physician and a electrophysiologist. We have ongoing appointments and I have a note from her primary care physician. Shouldn’t that be enough to submit, attached to the form, or do I have to have someone sign the form?
