Making a claim was actually somewhat difficult. There was no link to the online form in my email or policy. I had to call the number and listen to the automated message to figure out where to go online. Then, the form didn’t allow me to register. So I had to call again and learned that the online form is messed up, and that I was supposed to move forward without registering. I haven’t heard anything yet about my claim which was filed 2 days ago.

This inquiry is somewhat premature. We experienced a trip interruption due to an accident my wife suffered and filed a claim a couple of weeks ago. It has not yet been processed so I cannot yet provide any meaningful information on my satisfaction with the coverage.
My contact with agents has been positive but all they did was direct me to the Trawick website for claim material.
If the claim is not accepted I can see no reason to purchase this type of insurance in the future.
Although I hated to add more expense to my trip, I did appreciate the peace of mind knowing that perhaps I could have gotten my money back hopefully without a hassle, should I have developed covid shortly before the trip. I also have a significant medical condition and appreciated the peace of mind that I may have had emergency medical assistance in the Honduras, should have something have developed and been able to get back to the states as soon as possible. I will keep this policy with my travel info so that I will have the contact info should I decide to travel again. A special thank you to the agent I spoke with that was very patient and explained everything to my complete understanding.
A pleasant transaction which made me feel secure
I was instructed to file my claim "trip interruption" online, it is unclear how to create an account ID and the ID number (other than policy number) was not included in my policy card/confirmation.
To create a claim account, the ID number must be followed by a dash symbol followed by the policy number.
Such information was only made available when calling the helpline, which was very helpful.
Claim was filed on 18 Jan, it is not certain how long will it take for the claim to get processed. I haven't heard back from claim dept since 18 Jan.
I had to increase the policy value and the agent I spoke with was very helpful and the transact went very smoothly! I have used this company on other trips and feel they have good value!
