Trawick customers appreciate the value for money offered by the policies and the ease of modifying them before a trip. However, some travelers report difficulty reaching customer service, particularly after filing a claim.
I talked to Trawick int 24 hour assistance for the lost of the suitcase. Provided all the information but then after 2 days my suitcase was found and I picked up from the airport.
I broke my leg during a trip to Belize and I was in a cast and on crutches. I went to a public medical clinic in Belize, so I had no medical charges in the Belize. I called Trawick International to see if the insurance would cover my medical costs when I return home (for surgery) and the answer was no. All coverage stops the day your trip ends. I was also told that the policy would not cover the cost for me to fly first class (for more leg room) or buy a second seat next to me on the plane, so I could fly home with the cast. I was told that the policy would only cover the cost of me buying one economy seat home, if I cancelled my flight and had to rebook. I don't think the policy would have covered to cost of my husband to rebook his flight to accompany me home, so I would have had to fly home alone while on crutches. I ended up not filing a claim and requested a medical bulk head from the airline. I read the policy before purchasing it, but didn't realize that the coverage had so many exclusions in it.
No specific feedback yet but I intend to file a claim and will reserve judgement until that process unfolds
My trip was cancelled by the tour group about a week and a half before departure. I have submitted a claim and was told it could take up to 90 days to receive a decision. I am currently waiting to hear back.
My house caught on fire Christmas Eve and thus was unable to take my trip, the entire weekend, no one answered the phone or called me back. I called on the first working day which was January 3rd. I was surprised that there was no one staffing the phones or providing any guidance. I didn't use the 24 hour number because that was indicated for people who were on a trip and needed assistance, but no number was on the policy for people who have interrupted trips who want to file a claim. However when I did get through the lady was helpful and told me how much time I have to file as I am still getting information from the tour provider.
I erroneously indicated the return date on my application one day earlier than the actual date. I e-mailed customer service about the error, received a quick reply, the policy was revised with the new return date and documents sent. Quick and easy. Very responsive. Good experience.

I had to make an addition to the cost of the trip and the Trawick customer service was helpful and efficient.
Very easy to deal with. Made a change in coverage before trip and all went well.
Any questions I had they would not answer. They said just fill out the forms and we will get back to you .
