Filing the claim was easy to do and was self-explanatory. I had to email another proof of payment that I had missed when I first sent the claim. The entire process only took 2 weeks from filing the claim to receiving my reimbursement check and that was over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Unable to rate this insurance as claim is still in progress.
We had to make changes in team memebrs prior to the trip, not claim associated. Would have liked to transfer some of costs from one cancelling person to the new one. INstead, purchased 2 new policies. The airline allowed for name chnages so had hoped the travel insurance would too, but no.
If I coul give 0 star I would do it.
My trip was cancelled before I left. I don't like filling out these questions because what is important to me is not just the customer service related to purchase, but how it would work if I needed to use it--I have heard some talk about difficult experiences getting service (in general). Fortunately I have not need to use the many trip insurance policies I have purchased so I don't know how it worked for me. I was very grateful to receive a refund when I was unable to go because of civil disruptions in Guatemala but now I will be going soon.
I always use Squaremouth, find it very valuable for comparing available policies and I appreciate the additional security of Squaremouth's backing.
World Trips was very difficult to get hold of after I purchased the policy; in fact, I started to wonder if they were legit, and contacted Squaremouth. Eventually this was sorted out and I was able to reach them. But again when I went to increase the coverage, there was some difficulty with e-mailing them. Not the easiest company to deal with, compared to other insurers I've bought from. I never had to file a claim, so I don't know how they would be if I actually needed something from them.
Excellent fairly priced policy. Easy to update voverage as costs changed. Super service.

I called the phone number listed on the policy. It said for a new claim press 3. I did and it transferred me to an office that was closed. Unable to leave a message. Very tired after traveling for 15 hours and getting stuck at airport. Didn’t follow up immediately
I sent them many pages of documents with all the information they need for my claim. They responded that they need more documents. Some of the ones they said that they needed I had already sent. I called them and spoke to someone on the phone and he was very condescending to me. he told me that I didn’t want to do the work. He told me that if I don’t do the work, they will deny my claim. I told him that as far as I was concerned, I did do a lot of work I spent several hours over a few days, gathering documents, making copies and sending them to him. I told them that I did do work. he just kept repeating exactly you need to do the work or we won’t approve your claim.
