Talking to someone in claims is a joke. First I dialed the customer service line for worldtrips and they say they don't handle claims and sent me over to CBP's number where after an automated voice saying I can file the claim online, it hung up on me. Then when I opened an account on WorldTrip's website, to file a claim they tell you to call 866-400-8060 where the first prompt is that there is a "special promotion" and to press 1 if over 50 and # if under 50. I naturally chose under 50 to try to avoid it and I still got the sales pitch for some device they would send me to help if i've fallen. I couldn't interrupt the woman who was speaking and they wouldn't talk to me about my claim. So I went to their website to register online. Long-way of saying, it is early innings but if I couldn't get the e-file to work, I would assume that I was a victim of a fraud.
Hello David. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that you had a difficult time with the claims process. Based off the number you provided in this review, it looks like you might have called the incorrect number. There are two numbers you can call for CBP Claims: 866-400-6090 and/or 603-328-6387 (Option 3). You are also welcome to reach them via email at: AtlasJourneyClaims@cbpinsure.com. We hope this clears up some confusion. Thank you.

Easy to understand coverage
Paying for insurance is generally a drag but the bigger drag is needing insurance and not having it!
I goofed on the initial dates - and WorldTrips made the adjustment quickly. That was good customer service and a relief.
Fast response to claim. I became ill on a trip and called the 24 hour help line. They counseled me on what I needed to do and connected me with a physician service. I was seen within several hours and had prescriptions at the pharmacy near me almost immediately after. My only comment is that I didn't get any notice my claim was processed or their response. But I DID get a check in the mail within 3 weeks of my claim for the full amount. In the end that is what counts! Overall very satisified.
Hi, we purchased travel insurance. We travelled via Fiji to Tonga to join a sailing boat there. We were offloaded by Fiji Airways in Nadi (off the flight that was booked and paid for). The airline gave us all sorts of excuses why we were offloaded and other passengers were affected also. As a result we ended up with a 5 day delay in Nadi while waiting for the next possible flight to Tonga. I immediately sent a letter from Fiji airways about this to the insurer and let them know what happened and asked what to do. While they replied, they did not clarify what we could claim for. We kept all receipts and shared rooms and kept all expenses minimal but the 5 days was long and it was in the Australian school holidays so it was VERY hard to get accommodation and it wasn't cheap. The travel insurance wording states :“you are covered for: Reimbursement for reasonable accommodations and meals when your delay requires an overnight stay”. After completing all the paperwork for a claim, and only then (not when i raised this initially) i was told that the limit we could claim was $200. This is totally unreasonable for a delay of 5 days! Even if I slept on the street and ate the cheapest food 2 people can't live on $200 for 5 days. I followed up many many many times. Eventually the best answer I got when escalating to the manager was it was a limit of $200 per person and I should have had each person make a claim (we were a couple so 2 people). this was too late as claims had already been processed. This whole situation cost me hours and hours of emails and follow up and left me significantly out of pocket. I would never ever use this provider again and find that their wording, versus the reality is totally misleading. You can not say reimbursement for reasonable meals and accom when all you do is cover $200. This is not truthful. I feel this is a total con. I think other people should know how bad this provider is.
I am hearing from Squarenouth that my claim is closed, but I have not heard back from the insurance provider. I continue to be confused who I bought insurance from, and Squaremouth did not respond to my previous comment about the confusing sequence of company names. It may be that Squaremouth knows more than I do. But this message today added to the confusion. This rating is about Squaremouth as much as it is the provider as you call them,
I am grateful that my experience matched the positive recommendation that Nerd Wallet gave. I was able to select a policy quickly that fit the purpose I had and at an affordable, reasonable price. I consulted the policy description and details so I knew what to expect or how to find help or resources in the event it was needed before and during the travel abroad. Thank you! I will rely on this service again.
