I felt confident that my needs would’ve met if there was a situation covered under my policy. The policy itself covered all likely needs.
Thank you for your review. We’re glad to hear you felt confident in your coverage and that the policy addressed your needs.
It’s always great when a trip goes smoothly and a claim isn’t needed, but we’re happy to know the coverage gave you peace of mind while traveling.
We appreciate you choosing Aegis and hope to assist you again in the future.
During our trip, our son fell sick. He’s a toddler, so finding a pediatrician was not something we thought was possible. The assistance team was incredible. They sent us a link with a list of doctors, their rating and their availability. We had a doctor in our apartment the same day. We were able to get the StressLess benefits for the visit and we paid out of pocket for the medicine. We'll start a claim soon.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Stress Less benefit. We’re so sorry to hear about your toddler’s illness — we understand how frightening that must have been.
We’re pleased to know you were able to utilize our Stress Less Assistance, that the process was smooth to navigate, and that your son was seen by a physician in your apartment the very same day.
We hope the remainder of your trip went smoothly and that you were able to enjoy meaningful time together as a family.
The claims process was too long. I submitted everything on December 27, 2025. It was uploaded into their system on January 1, 2026. They contacted me on January 12, asking for my credit card statement showing the charge, and they stated they need an additional 15 business days to review. I finally got an answer on February 3rd, and got a direct deposit of the insurance payout on February 4, 2026.
Thank you for taking the time to share feedback regarding your claims experience. We’re sorry to learn that you felt the process took longer than expected.
Typically, once a claim is submitted, the review period is fifteen (15) business days. Your claim was submitted on December 27 and acknowledged on January 1. The initial review was completed on January 12, at which time you were notified that additional supporting documentation was required.

I never went on the trip because of natural disasters in Jamaica and was told I can't get my money back.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we’re truly sorry your trip to Jamaica was impacted by severe weather and natural disasters. We completely understand how disappointing and frustrating that must have been. When you contacted our team, we reviewed the policy and confirmed that the storm was considered a foreseeable event based on the applicable foreseeability date (10/13/25). Since the policy was purchased on 10/31/25, cancellations related to that event would not be eligible for coverage under the terms of the plan. We also noted during your call that your flight was refunded. However, the policy’s free look period (15 days from purchase) had already passed, which is why the insurance premium itself could not be refunded. Lastly, an option discussed was requesting a change to the travel dates; however, any change request is not guaranteed and would be subject to review and approval by the underwriter/carrier.
If you have any questions regarding the policy terms or coverage determination, please feel free to reach out to us, we’ll be more than happy to assist.
Process was mostly easy. It was straight forward to compare various options and different providers. My only (minor) complaint, which mostly came from my own inexperience with travel insurance, was it was a bit difficult to determine what I needed for a complete policy. Summary, while not a perfect experience it was overall positive.
My only interaction with the insurance carrier was to increase my coverage once I had the final billing from my travel agent and that process was pretty straightforward.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that, overall, your process was positive and that increasing your coverage was straightforward. We also appreciate your feedback regarding understanding what’s needed for a complete policy. Travel insurance can sometimes be a bit confusing, and your comments help us improve how we support our customers. If you have any questions about your coverage or need assistance in the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to help.
My Aegis contact who I spoke to was very helpful and was able to respond much faster than the airlines, but wasn't able to secure if I would be able to use the same airline flight on the way back. It was a matter of airline not being very cooperative.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re pleased to hear that you had a positive interaction with our Emergency Assistance Team. They are highly trained professionals and available 24/7 to support our members during travel or medical emergencies.
We understand that you experienced a flight delay and encountered some challenges with the airline. We hope the situation was ultimately resolved to your satisfaction and that the remainder of your trip was enjoyable and memorable.

My only frustration was not being given complete information in what was actually needed to file the claim when I first reached out to file. It just delayed the process by a couple of weeks. Overall, once all documents were submitted, there were no issues getting reimbursed for my cancelled cruise.
Thank you for taking the time to share your claims experience. We respect and appreciate your feedback.
