TCCH08554543 Claim # T31603
Canceled trip on 7/13 while traveling on a Viking cruise 7/6-15/2025 and had a medical emergency. Cost of the Canard cruise was $7,900. Canard issued a refund of $4,240.42 and airlines issued credits for $550.96. We filled a claim for $3,108.62 and supplied all the documentation they requested. They have been running us around since 7/25/2025 and my next step is to get an attorney and let them handle it. Not a happy customer Jerry and Pat Wehr 864-787-5541
It took 3 phone calls to understand difference better trip cancellation and delay. And we had both once a flight was cancelled. The first agents had no understanding. And there is a separate for trip delay that the agent said I could fill out and email in with documents. Not sure that worked so I think I have to go back although I can’t find the form on the website. And the old fashioned bank statement or list of charges no longer exists in the modern bank reporting so not sure how to document that a charge was paid.
Still not sure if I have submitted what was needed for my claim.
Hard to answer questions about claim. Husband had a medical issue to happen 2 weeks before leaving. Filed a claim, but it is still being processed. Notified of claim 9/26/2025. Added additional material around October 8. Still processing.
The policy had a "cancel for any reason" clause, so it shouldn't take so long to process it -- but 10 business days later and I'm still waiting to hear something.

This was a claim on a rider for cancel for any reason. It took five weeks to settle, which in my opinion is too long to wait. Furthermore, communications was poor. iMH did not adhere to its own timeline, as stated on their site as the only communications received about the process was the result of my calling and emailing. In those cars, customer service reps provided inaccurate or insufficient information for me to understand the process and why it was taking so long. At one point Inwas told the claim had been processed and was awaiting payment. That was over two weeks before we finally received payment. All in all, I can’t recommend IMG in the future.
I purchased through Square mouth for a few trips because of your good reviews and competitive pricing. I have never made a claim so I I've yet to see how responsive the company is when doing so. It would be nice if there was an incentive for repeat customers who've have never made a claim since we do a lot of traveling.
Good experience. Thank you.
Had to submit a claim when we returned from our trip and customer service was very helpful
It was easy to purchase insurance and my conversation with them after about filing a claim was helpful
A sudden leak in our water heater delayed our international trip by two days. The IMG advisor was thorough and polite but informed us compensation was only available if our house was rendered uninhabitable. Our diligence in addressing the problem prevented that outcome but took two days off our trip. It is the classic case of "weasel words" buried deep in the insurance contract leading to the inability for any compensation. Such problems is what gives insurance a bad reputation. The only solution seems to be to read the dense legalese in the contract and still be prepared to have your insurance payment to be useless.
I am still waiting to hear about my claim.
