IMG Travel Insurance Reviews

We had to cancel our trip because my wife was hospitalized. I filed a claim and provided requested information. It took about two weeks to get a reply to the claim. IMG asked for additional information. One was a form they wanted the doctor to fill out. We will have that filled out and returned. The second request was for a cancellation invoice with specific information. When I initially filed the claim, I provided them with the cancellation invoice that contained that information . I sent IMG the cancellation invoice a second time. I'm not sure why they asked for the information again. From my standpoint, the jury is still out on their claims processing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well with my claim as I have purchased numerous IMG travel policies for upcoming trips.

I'm not sure if I should provide comments re service by Square Mouth or IMG.

Two serious illness's with family members caused us to have to cancel our Wedding Anniversary Cruise to Bermuda.
We filed a claim and the travel insurance carrier processed the claim efficiently and refunded our claim amount promptly.

I submitted a medical claim approximately $800 AUD/$600 US with all the required paperwork. They acknowledged the claim but for $565 US. I responded with copy of my credit card statement that showed the converted charge. They changed it and sent me a check within about 3 weeks. Will definitely use IMG again. Using Squaremouth to compare all the travel insurance companies made choosing IMG easy.

When calling in to ask a question (the claim form wasn’t able to deal with departures to/from New Zealand due to crossing the international dateline) the customer service person was quick to answer, friendly, and very helpful. Her name was Ebony and she was on the night shift.

Very easy to contact them and change dates when my flights changed, no extra charge.
