Purchased Cancel for any Reason coverage; when I called to speak with agent about possible trip cancellation, and how far in advance I needed to cancel, she told me that I could cancel "any time up to departure." In fact, I later learned that cancellation had to be made 2 days prior to departure. Our destination rental was under mandatory evacuation order and we weren't sure when the order would be lifted. We made a claim, based upon the evacuation order. After promptly providing all necessary documentation, we have yet to hear from IMG about a resolution.
Very easy process
My experience was entirely online and straightforward. When my travel plans changed I had to increase my coverage and did so witout any problems.
I will NEVER insure a trip through IMG again! I had 2 claims with them at the same time. A trip interruption claim filed May 27: After much back and forth, they kept asking for information already sent, they finally paid the claim on August 27. Almost every inquiry call was met with “give it more time” instead of actually looking into the claim.
I was very happy with the Squaremouth support. IMG was OK considering I was told that they had a lot of claims. But, they could have provided a better update procedure
I tried to buy additional insurance and they didnt get back to me in time. When they finally got back to me it was just a couple of days before the trip and I thought it was a good risk to not buy any more which it was.
I made an error on the dates I needed, called to get it corrected.
