Aegis compensated me for a cancelled flight after Squaremouth got involved.
Although I did not personally file a claim, one of the members of my traveling party of 6 ladies had to cancel before the trip began, due to a medically ordered cancellation by her doctor. At this point, she has not received her trip refund. She had submitted her lengthy required information, and then received 5-6 pages for her physician to complete. This mount of procedure is frustrating , and at this point, she is not really satisfied with her insurance purchase. I feel responsible, because I recommended Aegis to all our group. By reviews of Aegis,, I felt claims would be prompt and hassle free. Thinking for next trip, I would purchase a policy that covers" Cancel for any reason" to have a swift claim.
There was no communication and no confirmation, nobody got back to me, and I'm still not sure if the trip was even covered. Horrible experience. I know who not too choose next time.

Our experience with Aegis was 5 star all the way! We had nothing but smooth cooperation, with interpreters, coordination and a calm demeanor by everyone we came in contact with concerning our situation. I would highly recommend this company!
I did file a claim. It was a bit wearisome. I didn't have the right document from Quantas (who lost my luggage) so that took awhile. Finally the insurance company accepted my documents. It took about two weeks to be reimbursed.

Our luggage was delayed on the inbound flight for 3 days in San Diego. I phoned the emergency hotline and was instructed what to do. I found the claims form a little confusing but did my best. Our claim number is 749788

They emailed the claim form the day we called. We send in the requested papers they needed and 15 days later they approved the claim.
I contacted Aegis in reference to a damaged luggage claim and it has been a complete run-around and they do NOT take responsibilty. They want me to contact the Airline for them to resolve the issue.
