We’re sorry you had to cancel your trip due to illness and appreciate the time you took to post your review. Trip Cancellation due to Medical reasons always have a section for the treating physician to complete. If a note from the physician is submitted and has all of the needed information, it may be accepted in liu of the form. We apologize for any miscommunication and inconvenience this may have caused. Once all of the documentation was received the review was completed and proper adjudication was made in a timely manner.

Travel insurance is designed to cover specific situations, which are outlined in the Description of Coverage provided with your policy. While the reason for your trip cancellation may not have been covered, we want to ensure every case is given the proper attention. You are welcome to file a claim, and our claims adjusters will carefully review it to determine if coverage applies.

For greater flexibility in the future, we recommend considering the "Cancel For Any Reason" upgrade, which allows cancellations for any reason and provides reimbursement of up to 75% of your trip cost.
