I submitted a claim to the Zurich Travel assist address in Schaumburg, IL on August 2, 2024. I received notice from my postal receipt that the package was received on August 5. On August 15 I called the 833-515-3323 service team number. I spoke with a representative (Lana) who gave the information that they don't notify upon receipt of a claim. She provided me with the claim number (743940), and indicated that all looked good, nothing was missing, and that my claim was in finalization. I would receive an email when payment was being processed.
Today, August 30, as I had not received any word, I called the Zurich serivce number again. The representative I spoke with (Kevin) indicated that information provided previously was not accurate. My claim was sent to claim review on August 12th, and NOTHING FURTHER had been done! As the call was supposedly being recorded, I provided a comment about my total disatisfaction - 25 days after receipt annd nothing had been done! Poor customer service!Kevin indicated he was sneding a notice to the claims review area requesting to escalate my claim. After hanging up, I also sent an email to the claims@zurichtravelassist.com address.
The total claim is for $457.83! So very modest. If this is how Zurich/Aegis handles such a claim, I would hate to wonder what they do with something more substantial. If you can put a bit of fire to their processing, it would be appreciated. I certainly will not consider Aegis/Zurich for any future travel insurance needs.

To enhance our service, Aegis is upgrading our claims processing for Zurich plans to a different office with greater capabilities. In addition to the traditional claim methods of phone, email, & fax, we’ll now provide mobile phone intake, snapping pictures of any backup documentation, & instant payment by ACH following approval.

Responsive and helpful so far. A claim was submitted right away for the full amount of the trip, which had to be cancelled due to weather that prevented the charter flight (part of the trip cost) from operating for several days.

Aegis responded at once and gave me a list of documents needed. I then worked directly with Zurich to fill out claim form and submit everything. I received the check for the full amount today. It could not have been smoother or quicker!

It is too soon to offer more comments. You advised us to work with airlines for our delayed (21 days, and still not all here) baggage. We have answered their questions and sent them our receipts . I especially appreciate being able to talk to a person at Aegis.
