Was told could not use the toll free number outside the US. The wait time on the phone lines was extremely long. Was not 24 hour service. When traveling outside the US, I would use another company.

My iPad and camera were lost in security check in Vienna airport.’
I didn’t contact Aegis about it but contacted the airport myself from the U.K.
I paid the 30 euros to airport lost property to release the items to Mail Boxes Etc - the approved courier - to ship them back to the U.S. for 180 euros.
I did contact Aegis to see if shipping charges were covered by the insurance but was informed but was told they would not be covered.

Unfortunately, this policy nor most travel insurance policy’s do not provide coverage to ship lost and located items back to their owners.

I thought that I will be reimbursed for the hotels stay that I was never able to use yet billed for because of the inability of the carrier to get us to our destination on time.
We will never ever use your service or Zurich service again.
So far so good. check back to see if I got my money back.
When I contacted, it was with Zurich's Claim Center, not Aegis and that person was responsive.
Since I have filed a claim I am waiting to hear back. One thing that left me puzzled was the lack or reply about any confirmation of having received documentation and claim materials.
