Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip. We are in the process of filing a claim.
Aegis 24 hour assistance was very responsive in opening my claim and sending me the claim form.

Throughout the claim process, Customer Service was very responsive and pleasant to work with.
Appreciated
1) the ease of comparing different companies and policies.
2) the professional knowledge and help of Squaremouth service reps.
Purchase of the policy was straight forward and easy and the policy was very competitively priced. Assuming the claim process goes smoothly I will be a return customer.

The filing procedure was clear and somewhat tedious, but the claims department staff at Zurich were consistently helpful, informative and professional throughout the filing and claim review period. They were also accessible by phone. That facilitated what turned out to be a more comprehensive and drawn out review than we had expected. We are pleased with the outcome though so we offer our special thanks to them.
We appreciate your feedback, Joseph . We take our claims review process seriously and are sorry you found the process to be tedious. We're pleased though, that the adjusters were able to assist and ultimately adjudicate your claim to your satisfaction. We hope you will consider Aegis once again for your future Travel Insurance needs
two days before departure I realized I had not changed the trip dates on the policy to include an extra day I had added when finalizing my flights. I emailed the company after regular business hours and within minutes received a response and correction of the trip dates on my policy.
My wife and I got badly delayed in our Europe trip because the crowd strike microsoft outage, and had to buy a same day train from Amsterdam to London to catch my bother wedding. Its cost us $900, and insurance isnt covering it because in the small print they list out reasons that they will offer a claim (eg. mechanical breakdown, weather, strike, FAA mandate, etc.) , and they are saying that crowdstrike outage doesn't fall into one of those categories. My wife and I cannot just afford to pay $900. This is wrong. We purchased travel insurance for this exact scenario and they are finding a loophole to wriggle out of it. It is unjust and we feel helpless unless we take this to a legal battle.
I am waiting for response to filing a claim.

Zurich Travel Assist asked for additional information which I provided. In their last email, they asked for more information and at the same time denied my claim. If I was not eligible for compensation, why did they ask for additional information twice? They closed the claim before I was able to provide the additional information they requested. Apparently there were two or more persons working on tis claim who did not communicate with each other, hence the conflicting responses. I believe that I have valid claim for two missed trips due to bad weather. Because of their conflciting actions in processing this claim and their denial of compensation, this company should be removed from your website.
