3 weeks from claim submission to receiving a check! Excellent. However they do not keep you informed such as acknowledging receipt of the claim. Telephone response is slow and and requires at least one transfer to even find out if they received the claim.

Aegis is very slow to respond to a claim. I filed 10/19/23 and have yet to receive a reply. They indicated 5-10 days but we are now almost a month. Customer Service was helpful in preparing claim but the back end falls short.

It took longer than Aegis estimated to process claim, but payment was made. Would use them again.
This claim was approved for payment roughly 3 weeks (or 15 business days) after all necessary documentation was submitted. The insured has been notified. Hopefully, we can continue improving our processing time to better meet their expectations.
The travel company changed the dates of our tour. We needed to changed the dates of our travel insurance coverage. Aegis made the change for us without any additional charges. We were delighted with their service.
Easy to purchase. When I experienced difficulties during my travel I received calls and emails asking about my situation. This made me feel much more comfortable with the coverage. Upon arriving back in the US I filled the necessary paperwork and received an automatic reply. There has been no further contact either way for the past 2 weeks. Now we wait out Medicare to see what they do before any other funds will be forth coming.

Up to this point, I have been happy with Squaremouth, but, unfortunately, I was diagnosed with cancer just weeks before my trip. I have filed a claim, and to date haven't heard anything.
This insured provided their backup documentation for review on 10/17/23. The claim was approved for payment 6 days later on 10/23/23. We remain available should the insured have any additional questions or concerns.
Several phone calls.1.They said claim was filed .It was not.2.2weeks later I insisted to file .Half an hour wait I was assigned a claim number.3.Forms sent I filled out detailed info emergency surgery 3 days ICU/Hospital stay doctor's letter all relevant documentation sent.All this happened 10 days before commencing the trip.Sept.23 when claim was filed .Nothing happened since then except my phone calls.The latest info was that it will take 3 to 6 months to process the claim

Regarding a claim: Don't know if this is a claim or not. On Oct.10, 2023 going through security at the Oslo airport, they lost my 35mm digital camera. I filed a lost item with them but have heard nothing but a claim number back. The value is around $500.00 U.S.
We touched base with this client immediately upon receiving this review. They opted not to proceed with their claim. During the call, they realized they unfortunately did not opt for the Electronics Upgrade which covers cameras, iPhones, tablets, laptops, etc. that are typically excluded from all travel insurance policies but can be covered with this one (via the upgrade). They appreciated us talking them through that & we remain available should they change their mind & decide to proceed with the claim.
