Premature to answer. I’m preparing a claim that should be submitted this week.
Thank you for your feedback. If you have any questions or need assistance during the submission process, our team at Aegis is here to help.
-per customer service's instruction, I emailed all necessary docs to claims@goreadyinsurance.com
-after two weeks wait, got an email from zurichclaims@cbpinsure.com asking me to submit a claim form but no form was attached
-the number provided is useless, never able to get hold with a live person
-found a website https://cbpconnect.com and filed the claim, hopefully that will work

It seems that emails or phone calls will not get any responses. After two weeks wait I found a site where I could submit the claim & I received the payment in less than 2 weeks.

We’ve taken steps to reinforce our procedures to ensure that all clients receive the necessary forms without delay. Trip Interruption!
I had a little trouble understanding what coverage I needed; I called customer service after purchasing the policy and was guided to the additional coverage needed . Pleasant experience all around.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad our team was able to guide you through the additional coverage and make the process easier. At Aegis Insurance, we’re here to make insurance simple and stress free. Thank you for choosing us!
Smooth interaction upfront. No need to do more. Thank you and will return for future trips.
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad your experience with Aegis was smooth. Looking forward to supporting your future travels.
The sailing company cancelled the trip because of bankruptcy. I have filed the claim but have heard back.
Very easy to talk to. Hope claim is reimbursed as easily. Sent all the documentation. I was suppose to hear last week but nothing. Yet it is a holiday weekend. Maybe this week. Claim is cancellation by company that filed bankruptcy. That is a covered event.
I always buy travel insurance with Aegis when I’m on extended vacation. My most recent trip was a 44 day cruise with Holland America. I’ve never had to use the insurance prior to this trip but my luck ran out. I developed a terrible ear infection to the point I had to schedule an appointment with the ship doctor. He scripted meds that brought quick relief.
I filed a claim when I returned home and just today received a medical claims form from Zurich. As I reviewed the documentation REQUIRED to complete the form it became readily apparent the form was designed to deny my claim. My claim is for $221.06 for a $3000 policy.
I will file my claim even though I know it will be an exercise in futility as some of the REQUIRED documents I no longer have available.
I am booked for a 30 day cruise this fall. Guess what I will not be purchasing.
My issue is not with Aegis, specifically, but with their underwriter, Zurich. Once I filed a claim with Aegis, it was handed off to Zurich. The customer service and claims managers at Zurich are completely unresponsive.
It took five months to resolve a $97 claim. Within those five months, I called five times to get updated status of the claim, and each time I was told that my claim was going to be "escalated," which did exactly nothing. Ten emails went unanswered.
When Zurich finally reached out, it was to request additional documentation. I had questions about what to provide and those messages went unanswered also. In order to get someone at Zurich to actually review the documents I submitted and follow up, I had to call customer service at Aegis who then reached out to Zurich. Only then did I get information about the claim. This is inefficient and frustrating.
The claim is finally resolved, but I won't be using Aegis again because I do not want to deal with this level of unresponsiveness from their underwriter, Zurich.
We are extremely sorry for the negative experience you had with Zurich's claim team. As a result of your feedback & others like you, we are no longer working with that provider.
As of July 1, 2025, we have consolidated our claims through our highest-rated team. This change brings with it enhancements to streamline the claims experience including online & mobile intake with instant ACH payments upon approval (or a traditional check if you prefer).
We hope you give us the chance to show you the service level we expect & you deserve.
I called them to change dates of coverage. Process went smoothly.
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that changing your coverage dates went smoothly. Safe travels, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything!
