I was very satisfied with our April travel protection policy and the ease of purchasing the policy. The quoted rate was very competitive, as was the Pre-existing waiver policy for medical claims. Our advisor Johana Macis, was very helpful and responsive. My only complaint would be that Johana was very difficult to reach when I called her direct extension -- I kept getting a generic voicemail greeting. I did find that the best way to reach her directly was by calling the general Customer Service number and ask for her by name. My suggestion would be to fix this problem in the future. Thank you. I did not go on the trip because I needed emergency abdominal surgery. As soon as we see what the airline returns, we will be filing a claim for the rest. I would like to know how to go about it.

My travel partner became very sick soon after arriving in Mexico. There was no time to contact April as he needed treatment immediately. We contacted April a couple of days later and they told us what paperwork to get but we had limited internet and phone access so we did not file a claim until we returned home. Their customer service was excellent at walking me through the process and they settled the claim quickly. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

Pending the outcome of my submitted claim and the attention I receive on the claim, I will be better able to rate the ins. provider at a later date. When I called from overseas to the 24 hour travel assistance hotline about the claim or issue, I could not get any answer. It appeared that the line was not functioning. However, I was able to get an answer from the regular telephone number. Please contact me in about four weeks for a proper evaluation and review.
