I am waiting for a claim form from April. I am also waiting for documentation from airline regarding travel delay. My opinion of April will be greatly affected by the timely handling of a relatively minor claim. $102 hotel stay due to delayed travel.
Yes, I would recommend, prompt and efficient.
More than 7 calls requesting medical . assistance. Never had a single call back. Asked repeatedly what a reasonable time for a call back... told an hour. They kept saying it was a holiday weekend - I could have gone to an urgent care, but they said they had to use a doc in their network which would come to my hotel. (I ended up paying for another hotel night, simply so their doctor could access me - but it never happened)
Ended up canceling remainder of trip and driving home (35 hours) to see my own physician.
Inexcusable experience.
Enjoyable experience
I had to postpone my trip South Asia and rebook later because of illness. April reimbursed for lost airfare and tour expenses. I was very satisfied with their service.
Sarah did a very good job at following up with me on a question I had and eventually got me an answer. She was persistent with the company to get me the information I needed.
Claim process takes too long.
I filed a claim for a trashed suitcase in late April. I sent in the requested forms, pictures and specifics as to how the bag was damaged by airport personnel. Although the bag was seldom used,(except for extended trips), it was in good condition for a about four years old. I explained that due to it's age, I no longer had the original purchase receipt, (understandable, right)?
Last week I received a request from Seven Corners, Inc whom I guess APRIL laid my claim off onto which they received from SquareMouth, asking for the" ORIGIONAL"purchase receipt. I wrote again restating the I didn't have one.
Where this is going, I can only guess...The scrap heap?
They keep asking for my documents. I have sent them twice. I continue waiting.
My claim for a damaged (destroyed) suitcase was handled reasonably promptly. After filing, I got an email acknowledging the claim, which was re-assuring. A check was mailed a couple of weeks later.
