Many Aegis customers appreciate the level of service they receive when they have questions about their coverage or need assistance while traveling. In contrast, other travelers have reported difficulties in obtaining status updates on filed claims.
The extra coverage I purchased on my policy was very hard to detrmine while reading thru it. Coverages werent listed in full. Half wrre stated on the policy while extras appeared on a seprate riider...giving the 1st appearance of not being thrre. When I called for an explanation...they seemed aannoyed in having to explain. Refused to send me a copy of my policy. Said I had to print out all pages myself.
The entire process of purchasing the insurance was easy and reasonable. I am glad I did not have to use the insurance but I felt secure having it.
Blessings! I called April Travel customer service a few days before we left for India to drop one woman from the policy, because she was not going on the trip. The woman I spoke to promised to get back to me the next day, which she did not. I have not heard from the company, nor have I received the refund for the one uninsurable woman, Marlo blood.
I kam on the FIFTH round of resubmitting the same documents. A different specialist makes a redundant request as she does not have the documents already sub,itted to another specialist. Now I have received a letter from another company demanding the same thing as well as doctor records. This policy was purchased and paid as CANCEL For ANY REASON. This constitues BAD FAITH

Regarding my dealings with Squaremouth: I planned to increase my trip insurance over a period of 10 months, at least 4 times, because of periodic payments for our trip. I kept meticulous notes about my communications with Squaremouth.
What I experienced leads me to believe that Squaremouth customer service reps are either not well trained or not very intelligent. Mistakes were made--once in the amount of insurance I needed and again in the cost for one of the additional increases in the amount of insurance. I bought the initial insurance in 2014, but was mistakenly charged for one increase when the agent read from the 2015 rates. In one case I was sent $100 as an apology for the first error.
When I questioned why one of the quotes seems to be $7 higher than what is listed on the website, I was told by one of the reps that a fee is charged each time one increases their insurance, which was not true. Eventually I would not deal with anyone except Brandy, the manager. But even she submitted to the insurer, April Company, an incorrect credit card number, causing the paperwork to be delayed over one week just as I was getting ready to depart on our month long trip, causing my anxiety level to be raised unnecessarily.
As for April Company, the actual insurer, their price was the best for the coverage I needed. However, when I was waiting for over a week for the paperwork to be e mailed to me just before I was departing on my trip, I learned they do a lot of paperwork in house. As a result, processing took longer than it should. And some of their processing is sent to another insurance company to process, stringing the entire process out far too long, based on my experience with their competitor, Insuremytrip.com. Admittedly, I used April, the insurance company, because they were less expensive. I still should not have had all those aggravating problems.
We thank Gail for entrusting her travel insurance needs with APRIL Travel Protection. We truly take pride in our customer service and one-of-a-kind Stress Less benefits, and are disappointed to hear that we didn't meet Mrs. Ravnoz's 5-star expectations.
Since Mrs. Raznov's second trip cost modification, completed in October 2014, APRIL has taken measures to streamline the accuracy and delivery of Email Confirmation Documentation following policy modifications. The third and last trip cost modification received from Mrs. Ravnoz in January 2015 was completed in the promised time frame of 48 hours. Unfortunately, the credit card number provided to APRIL was not accurate. Because of that, APRIL could not process the new increase in premium, which resulted in a phone call to the client by an experienced APRIL sales specialist and a two-day processing delay. Once the correct credit card number was provided, the new coverage information was provided to the client that afternoon.

As your agent, we send all policy modification requests directly to the provider for processing. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication between April Travel Protection and Squaremouth. As a result, your requests were not handled as timely and efficiently as they should have been.
We have provided additional training to our agents to insure this does not happen again.

I had to change a date, as I was taking a red eye home that arrived a day later. They were very nice making this minor change.

The interaction was very good. However, one doesn't really know where things stand if no claim is filed and if no support is needed. In other words, the proof ultimately is in the pudding.
