Am very satisfied with Berkshire Hathaway. While I was abroad my home was damaged during Hurricane Irma and I had to come back for a month. I resumed my trip afterwards and Berkshire was great about quickly handling my trip interruption claim. I thought the claim documentation was somewhat excessive (had to send boarding passes!) but other than that they were great! Highly recommended.
The reason I rated BerKshire Hathaway 4 stars because when I call them up ... it took 30 mins before someone answer the phone .... also the reason I gave them 4 stars because you can talk to live person not a machine !!!!! Great great company for having to talk to a live person ... I would like to give them 5 stars but I waited 30 mins before I got connected... that's the only complain I have at this time .... also I don't know how good is there respond on claims. I never thought that I would use my travel protection.

Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection is impressive. The way they handle my medical case took less than a month. I will recommend Berkshire Hathaway travel protection to anyone who will be traveling outside the country. WHY ?... because their customer service is EXCELLENT .... NO LONG WAITING on the phone and the best one is..... you can talk to a LIVE person !!!.... NOT AUTOMATED ELECTRONIC VOICE ... The customer service is well train in giving information how to fill out claim form and display good ethical by responding to my email after they had received the medical documents that I had sent to them. I travel a lot and I never thought that I will be filing a claim somehow I found an excellent travel insurance company ...I will surely use them again. Thank you Berkshire Hathaway for your excellent service.

I will use this travel insurance again
this year . Price is great and when I had a claim it was taken care of quickly.
Delay in processing the claim was on my side, not on the side of Berkshire Hathaway. As soon as they received the invoices from me, they processed the claim and mailed me a check for the amount I claimed. The check just arrived. I am very satisfied with both BH and Squaremouth.
Waiting for first claim to be settled .
So far so good. We will see how the claim progresses. The information requirements are steep.
I did not need to use my travel insurance but it was helpful Knowing that I had purchased protection that was reasonably priced and extensive enough to cover the likely worst case scenario.
The representative was available and very helpful in clarifying details. The claim is currently being reviewed.

I was injured while on a family vacation abroad. The hospital confirmed my insurance information and provided diagnosis and treatment. Upon my return home, the BH representative was extremely helpful and courteous in facilitating documentation and submission of the claim. My medical expenses were reimbursed.
Had to file a claim for a delay on a recent cruise. Process was simple and documentation required was reasonable. Once all required documentation was submitted, reimbursement was the same day.
