My original trip was twice cancelled by the trip operator, so I had to transfer the policy twice, the last time to another, less expensive trip. The transfer process was very easy and the refund for the trip difference was handled promptly. I definitely will be using Generali for all of my future travel insurance needs.

Prompt in resolving the claim. Straightforward process
I filed a claim for a damaged piece of luggage that was not noticed till I arrived home. A claim has been filed but I am constantly being asked for police report which there was none and proof I filed claim with homeowners insurance first. My deductible is much higher than cost of luggage. To replace luggage is 223 dollars. What is the value of taking out travel insurance if the company doesnt want to pay for a simple 223 dollar piece of luggage.first time ever i have had to put in a claim and am very disappointed. When I call the reps are nice but I get nowhere. Very unhappy with the policy. What would happen if I got sick and it was a huge cost. You took my money fast when I purchased and now I am reclined to accept you will not replace luggage so I am not out the money for the useless insurance but I have buy the 1 piece of luggage that damaged. So insurance was good till I had to put in a claim the it is not

Luggage was damaged and didnt notice till I walked in door. Filed claim same day but since there was no police report I was denied. I sent all other documents and pictures. I did not file police report because I did not know at what point it was damaged during getting off cruise and trip home.
