I had an Infection that could be passed on to others who had weaken immune systems, it is called Pseudomonas. We cancelled about a week before the trip, sent in the paperwork required and haven't heard anything since. We provided the documents that were asked for. We hated to cancel, but I needed to take prescription medicine a couple times a day with a sinus rinse using distilled heated water. We took a trip with Viking River Cruises a couple years ago and we could not find distilled water in Europe. I wasn't sick and used a different sinus rinse without water. I was not able to do that this time, hence the cancellation. I had chills and fever, shortly before it was time to leave, and didn't think it wise to go.

When I submitted my claim, I did not receive a confirmation from Generali. I had to call them and go through their awful automated system to finally reach a person who confirmed that my claim had been received. So far, I am not impressed with their responsiveness.
Traveling with the confidence knowing we are protected by Generali Insurance is the only way to go. We have been using Generali for many years had only once did we have to cancel our plans due to illness. We were completely satisfied with the care and attention given our claim.
We will never travel without Generali Insurance.

Online claim process was very clear, uploading of documents easy, resulted in no questions being needed on my part. The claim was settled very quickly in full, by mailed checks. We will use GGA again, completely satisfied.
We were delayed for 24 hours by Qantas. Got vouchers for sub standard hotel and meals and taxi. Disappointed that we could not receive compensation for delay and inconvenience with this policy.
